-
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
- Leave from Arusha town with your guide. Drive to the base town for safaris in northern Tanzania and along the Arusha – Dodoma highway a scenic drive towards the Tarangire National Park.
- Pass by a supermarket and engage in some last-minute shopping.
- Arrive in Tarangire after 2 hours. This national park is extremely famous and special for its diverse landscape and nine different vegetation zones. Begin your game drive and be welcomed by the ancient and gigantic Baobab trees, making even animals like the giraffe look tiny.
- Go on a game drive till about late afternoon and include a small stop for a picnic lunch.
- Spot the tree-climbing pythons and the long-necked gerenuks. Also, see the highest concentration of elephants, which offers a unique chance for you to observe interactions between elephant families.
- Don’t forget to capture this beautiful scenery with your camera ready at hand. Post the game drive, head back to your camp/lodge at Manyara/Karatu, where a delicious dinner awaits you. Have a good night’s sleep for tomorrow’s adventure.

-
Day 2: Manyara/ Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater
- Drive from Manyara/Karatu to Ngorongoro and descend over 600m to the crater to view its wildlife. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas globally and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino.
- Spot the wide variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard.
- Visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. See a large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds.
Overnight stay at Ngorongoro (Ngorongoro Crater Rim). Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
-
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Ndutu
- Head to the Lake Ndutu area, situated inside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Lake Ndutu is alkaline, like most other rift lakes; however, the water is still drinkable and used by a wide array of local wildlife. The majority of the wildebeest migration can normally be found on the short-grass plains from December to April. The Area is also usually heavily populated with elephants, birds and resident game.
- Arrive at Ndutu in the afternoon for a game drive until evening. Check-in at a Camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.
Overnight stay at Ngorongoro or Ndutu. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
-
Day 4: Ndutu Area Full Day
- Enjoy a full game drive in the Ndutu Area.
- Explore different habitats, including swamps, woodlands, soda lakes and the world-famous Serengeti short grass plains.
- See the great herds of wildebeest and zebra. During a short time frame around February, normally lasting for about 3 weeks, most of the wildebeest calve. The sea of grass provides little cover, and the young are easy pickings for various predators.
Overnight at Camp/Lodge in Ndutu Area (Ngorongoro Conservation Area) South Serengeti. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
-
Day 5: Ndutu Area To Central Serengeti
- Head towards the central Serengeti National Park, also known as the Seronera.
