Day 1 : Arusha to Tarangire National Park expand_more
Pick up from the airport or any location around Arusha.
Drive 2-3 hours towards Tarangire National Park.
Enjoy the first game drive in open-roof safari vehicles for better viewing.
Have a picnic lunch in the park. Tarangire is a famous dry-season wildlife location because many animals can be spotted gathered around water sources, such as large herds of elephants.
Main destination: Tarangire National Park
Accommodation: Farm House Valley Lodge, Tented camp located inside Tarangire NP.
Meals: All meals included. Drinks not included.

Day 2 : Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater expand_more
Depart from Tarangire river camp in the morning and drive about 3 hours to Ngorongoro crater.
Spend the afternoon exploring the crater - a large, intact volcanic caldera with many resident animals. There are open plains, lakes, and small forests in this self-contained ecosystem. Many animals can be seen here year-round, including the elusive Rhino.
Overnight stay at a permanent tented camp that has very comfortable tents; including solar-powered hot water showers.
Main destination: Serengeti National Park
Accommodation: Kubu Kubu Luxury camping. Tented camp located inside Serengeti NP.

Day 3 : Transfer to Serengeti expand_more
Transfer to Serengeti, and enjoy a game drive en-route.
Drive from the Ngorongoro crater rim, descending the Ngorongoro Highlands on the vast Serengeti plains, is a game watching opportunity.
See the colorful robes of the people of the Maasai tribe, who herd their cattle and goats in the Ngorongoro Highlands - often right alongside wildlife.
Enter the Serengeti National Park borders, and see how the wildlife roam around the village even more in abundance.
Main destination: Serengeti National Park.

Day 4 : Return to Arusha expand_more
Return to Arusha. The schedule will depend on plans after the safari.
If time permits, enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti while on the 7-hour drive back to Arusha.
Arrive in the late afternoon/early evening.
End of tour.

Know before you go
Note:
Need visas for entry to Tanzania.
Make a photocopy or list of the following items: Passports (including the page with the visa stamped), plane tickets, yellow booklet showing your yellow fever vaccination, list of all medications you might require, a listing of all travelers' cheque numbers, and money if possible, list of serial numbers for cameras, etc. Keep this list someplace apart from where you keep these other items.
Keep track of the passport. Loss of a passport can destroy the trip and cost considerable money during the time required to replace it.
In case of bag misplacement, report the problem to your air carrier inside the airport at the Baggage Claim before passing the Customs and fill out the required paperwork. Inform tour staff so they can work with the airline to get your bags to you at the earliest convenience.
