Itinerary
-
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park to Mto wa Mbu
- Accommodations: Client’s selection of public campsite/ tented campsite/ Lodges
- After waking up in the morning, a Tanzania safari operator will pick you up from your hotel before driving to Tarangire National Park, "Tarangire River" is a name for the River that runs through the park and is the only source of water for the animals in the dry season. It is a fantastic landscape dotted with baobabs and tall grasses with a mixture of vegetation than the other parks in the North Safari Parks. Tarangire National Park is famous for its wildlife and birds. The bird species are more than 550, including the yellow-necked turtle dove. Animals include some of the BIG FIVE and others like Omo, the white giraffe who suffers from a genetic condition called secularism: elephant, lion, warthog, impala, cheetah, buffalo and baboons. After a fantastic full-day excursion in this Tarangire National Park, you will drive to Mto wa Mbu, arriving late afternoon for dinner and overnight.
-
Day 2: Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti National Park
- Accommodations: Client’s selection of public campsite/ tented campsite/ Lodges
- The morning after breakfast, drive from Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti National Park, where the adventure begins. The Serengeti National Park is home to the largest concentration of wildlife in the world, including zebra, gazelle, lion, wildebeest, elephant and giraffe and, in general, the BIG FIVE. It is also the point of the seasonal wildebeest migration that can be the fantastic adventure of a lifetime. Serengeti means "the land that moves forever". You'll stop at a kopje (outcrop) for lunch, enjoy the incredible views while eating, and prepare for your adventures more profound into the Serengeti National Park. Head to the rest area in the evening for an overnight stay and dinner. The next day you have a full day to explore Serengeti National Park further.
-
Day 3: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
- Accommodations: Client’s selection of public campsite/ tented campsite/ Lodges
- After breakfast in the morning, gradually explore the Serengeti National Park. The park contained the most animals. This is a day where you will enjoy predators such as lions tracking down other animals as a food source. You might see more hippos, herds of monkeys and families of mongooses that day. After such an early start, a great and delicious lunch awaits you, which will be served in the park. In the afternoon, begin your Ngorongoro driving adventure by driving to Ngorongoro Conservation Area accommodation for dinner and overnight.
-
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara National Park
- Accommodations: Client’s selection of public campsite/ tented campsite/ Lodges
- This fourth-day safari destination in Lake Manyara National Park offers the same experience as Ngorongoro Crater; game viewing is just adventure enough. Most animals cannot leave the crater due to its high walls. This is the perfect place to see all members of The Big 5 in one day. You will have a great picnic lunch in Ngorongoro Crater. Ngorongoro Crater is home to hyenas, hippos, zebra, wildebeest and various waterfowl. Your guide will highlight you for sharing his experience with information about the wildlife and vegetation. Fanaka Camp offers competent camping facilities for rest, dinner and overnight.
-
Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha/Moshi
- Your final safari day begins with breakfast and then takes you to Lake Manyara National Park, which stretches across the base of the Rift Valley escarpment. Lake Manyara National Park is a wildlife sanctuary of forests, dry scrub, Soda Lake and a bird lover's paradise. The forest is mesmerizing with the chirping of the birds and the fluttering antics of the monkeys in the forest; Giraffes roam the savannah and lions rest in the trees, others rest in the shade of the trees, while families of hippos bathe in the waters of Soda Lake. Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch in the park before returning to Moshi/Arusha, where your best safari adventure ends. On request, we can arrange a transfer to Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airport.
