Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania

Day 2: Machame Gate to Machame Camp
- Eat breakfast at the hotel.
Drive to Machame Gate (1,800 meters) and complete registration.
Begin your trek through the lush montane forest.
Observe various bird species and endemic flora.
Reach Machame Camp (3,000 meters) in the late afternoon.
Enjoy a hot dinner and rest at camp.

Day 3: Machame Camp to Shira 2 Camp
- Wake up early and eat breakfast.
Continue the climb as the trail steepens.

Arrive at Shira 2 Camp (3,840 meters) and settle in for the evening.

Day 5: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Rest and prepare for the next day’s push.

Day 6: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
- Hike steadily upward through rocky and dry terrain.
Reach Barafu Camp (4,640 meters), the final base camp.
Eat an early dinner and rest before the summit attempt.
Prepare gear and mentally ready yourself for the summit night.
Hiking Time: 4–5 hours
Distance: Approximately 4 km (2.5 miles)

Day 7: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp
- Wake around midnight and begin the summit push.
Ascend in darkness to Stella Point (5,739 meters) by sunrise.
Continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters), the highest point in Africa.
Celebrate your achievement and take photographs at the summit.
Descend to Barafu Camp for rest and refreshments.
Continue descending to Mweka Camp (3,100 meters) for overnight.

Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate
- Eat a final breakfast on the mountain.
Descend through the rainforest to Mweka Gate (1,640 meters).
Receive your summit certificates from the park authorities.
Transfer by vehicle to your hotel in Arusha or Moshi.
Celebrate your successful climb with a hot shower and rest.
