Itinerary

1. Day 1: Travel from Arusha to Tarangire National Park

   • Begin your adventure with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha around 8:00 AM.

   • Drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant population and iconic baobab trees.

   • Embark on a full-day game drive, observing lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and antelope along the Tarangire River.

   • Break for a picnic lunch at a designated site within the park.

   • Continue with an afternoon game drive until late afternoon.

   • Proceed to a nearby public campsite.

   Enjoy dinner and spend the night in a comfortable dome tent under the stars.

2. Day 2: Explore Tarangire and Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park

   • Wake early and enjoy breakfast at the campsite.

   • Depart on a morning game drive to capture wildlife in the soft morning light.

   • Exit the park by late morning and drive towards Lake Manyara National Park.

   • Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara.

   • Discover lush groundwater forests, open grassy areas, and the alkaline lake, home to flamingos and hippos.

   • Look out for elephants, baboons, and possibly tree-climbing lions.

   • Head to a public campsite near Lake Manyara or Karatu.

   Have dinner and overnight at the campsite.

3. Day 3: Journey to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Crater Exploration

   • Eat breakfast and depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

   • Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of game viewing.

   • Observe the "Big Five" along with zebras, warthogs, hippos, and a variety of birdlife.

   • Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch at a designated site within the crater.

   • Ascend to the crater rim in the late afternoon.

   • Settle in at a campsite located on the rim or in nearby Karatu.

   Have dinner and spend the night at the campsite.

4. Day 4: Enjoy Leisure Day or Optional Activities in Ngorongoro/Karatu

   • Relax and enjoy breakfast at the campsite.

   • Choose to spend the day at leisure or engage in optional activities.

   • Visit a traditional Maasai village to learn about local culture (additional fee).

   • Take a guided nature walk around the lodge area if based in Karatu.

   • Eat lunch and dinner at the campsite.

   Spend a peaceful final night amidst nature.

5. Day 5: Return from Ngorongoro to Arusha

   • Begin your day with a final breakfast at the campsite.

   • Drive back to Arusha through scenic highlands and rural landscapes.

   • Enjoy a hot lunch in Arusha upon arrival.

   • Get dropped off at your hotel or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure.
