Itinerary

1. Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

   • Depart early in the morning from Dar es Salaam around 5:00 AM.

   • Drive through the scenic Uluguru Mountains and Morogoro town (approximately 5–6 hours).

   • Enjoy an afternoon game drive in Mikumi National Park.

   • Look for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, and possibly lions.

   • Check in at a lodge or camp near or inside the park.

   Overnight options: Mikumi Safari Lodge, Tan-Swiss Lodge, or Vuma Hills Tented Camp.

2. Day 2: Mikumi to Nyerere National Park (Selous)

   • Enjoy a morning game drive in Mikumi (optional) or have breakfast and depart early for Selous.

   • Drive to Selous Game Reserve via Kisaki route (approximately 6–7 hours with scenic stops).

   • Arrive in the evening and check in at a lodge near the Rufiji River.

   • Relax and enjoy a sundowner with views of the bush.

   Overnight options: Selous River Camp, Africa Safari Selous, or Rufiji River Camp.

3. Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive in Nyerere National Park

   • Embark on a full-day game drive in one of Africa’s largest wildlife reserves.

   • Spot lions, elephants, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, crocodiles, hippos, and rare wild dogs.

   • Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush with views of the savannah or river.

   • Optionally, take a boat safari on the Rufiji River in the late afternoon.

   Overnight at the same lodge as Day 2.

4. Day 4: Morning Walking Safari & Return to Dar es Salaam

   • Participate in an early morning guided walking safari with an armed ranger (optional).

   • Have breakfast at the lodge.

   • Begin the drive back to Dar es Salaam (approximately 5–6 hours).

   • Arrive and be dropped off at your hotel or the airport in the late afternoon or evening.
