Full-Day Tarangire National Park Safari Itinerary
- Depart at 6:00 AM from accommodation outside the park to reach Tarangire Main Gate by 6:30 AM.
Arrive at the entrance gate prepared with camera, binoculars, and sun protection.
Begin the sunrise game drive at 6:30 AM along the Tarangire River.
Spot early-morning wildlife including elephants, buffalo, zebras, and possibly lions or leopards.
Admire the iconic baobab trees as the sun rises.
Stop at 9:00 AM for a bush breakfast at a scenic and safe location such as a kopje or river viewpoint.
Enjoy your packed breakfast and take time for birdwatching.
Continue the drive at 10:00 AM toward the Silale Swamps.
Look for giraffes, warthogs, baboons, impalas, and ostriches in the open plains.
Search the swamp areas for hippos, waterbucks, and wading birds like herons and storks.
Watch for cheetahs in the open grasslands near the swamp.
Pause at 1:00 PM for lunch at a designated picnic site such as Matete Picnic Area or Lemiyon Hill.
