Day 1- Arrival and Island Exploration
- Morning: Arrive in Mwanza and head to the TANAPA offices at Capri Point. From there, you'll take a short boat ride to Saanane Island. The boat ride itself offers lovely views of the city and the lake.
- Mid-day: Check into your accommodation. Options range from basic camping to more comfortable lodges. After settling in, embark on a guided walking safari. This is a great way to get up close to the animals. Keep an eye out for the De Brazza's monkeys, a highlight of the park. Your guide will share interesting facts about the flora and fauna.
- Afternoon: Enjoy lunch amidst the tranquil surroundings. Afterwards, you could opt for a boat safari around the island. This offers different perspectives of the park and opportunities for bird watching. Saanane boasts a rich variety of bird species.
- Evening: Relax and enjoy dinner with views of Lake Victoria. The sunset over the lake is often spectacular. Listen to the sounds of the African night and prepare for another day of exploration.

Day 2- Wildlife and Relaxation
- Morning: Wake up early for a game drive. While Saanane is small, a game drive can still reveal some of the more elusive animals, like the rock hyrax or even a wild cat if you're lucky. The early morning light is also ideal for photography.
- Mid-day: After the game drive, you can choose to revisit a favorite spot or explore a different part of the island. Perhaps you'd like to spend more time bird-watching or simply relaxing by the lake. You could also hike to one of the viewpoints for panoramic vistas.
