Embark on a thrilling 4-day Mount Meru adventure, Tanzania’s second-highest peak at 4,566 meters. Trek through montane forests, scenic ridges, and alpine terrain while spotting wildlife including giraffes, buffalo, monkeys, and antelopes. Guided by professional mountain guides and armed park rangers, you will summit Socialist Peak to enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the surrounding landscape. Itinerary

Day 1: Moshi/Arusha – Momella Gate to Miriakamba Hut (2,500m)
Pick-up from your hotel in Moshi (7:00 am) or Arusha (8:30 am).
Scenic drive to Momella Gate (1,500m) inside Arusha National Park.
Registration and meet your armed park ranger.
Trek through open grassland and dense montane forest.
Spot wildlife including giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and monkeys.
Hike to Miriakamba Hut (2,500m) for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut (3,570m)
Breakfast at Miriakamba Hut.
Trek uphill through lush forest and giant heathers.
Enjoy viewpoints overlooking Arusha National Park and Mount Kilimanjaro.
Optional afternoon hike to Little Meru (3,820m) for sunset and acclimatization.
Overnight stay at Saddle Hut with dinner.

Day 3: Saddle Hut – Socialist Peak (4,566m) – Miriakamba Hut
Begin summit ascent around midnight with headlamps.
Trek steep ridges passing Rhino Point and Cobra Point.
Reach Socialist Peak (4,566m) for sunrise and panoramic views.
Celebrate summit achievement and take photos.
Descend back to Saddle Hut for rest.
Continue descent to Miriakamba Hut (2,500m) for overnight stay.

Day 4: Miriakamba Hut to Momella Gate – Return to Arusha/Moshi
- Breakfast at Miriakamba Hut.
- Descend through montane forest back to Momella Gate.
- Enjoy final wildlife encounters and forest scenery.
- Receive Mount Meru climbing certificate.
- Transfer back to Arusha or Moshi, concluding the adventure.
