From Stella Point, snow may be encountered all the way on our 1-hour ascent to the summit. Your time at Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, will be brief. Know before you go
  • Prepare your mind and body to reach the peak. One must be well prepared to face some challenges along the way. The body must be ready to face the impediments that come with the quick weather changes. Also, your mind should be flexible especially if you are using the routes that have camping accommodation. Be ready to sleep in tents and share communal toilets.
  • Take plenty of water and food; while hiking, make sure your water and food intake is satisfactory. As you gain more altitude, you might lose appetite but make sure you take enough food to preserve your energy and body temperature.
