Itinerary

Drive to Ngorongoro Crater
- Early in the morning, you will be picked up at the hotel or lodge where you spend the overnight.
- Our driver guide will pick you up, and you will descend to Ngorongoro Conservation Ares, which will award you with a chance to view animals while they are still active. The crater, one of its kind worldwide and part of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, hosts the rare Black Rhinoceros and many other species.
- The crater supports a vast variety of wild animals, which include the heard of Wildebeest, Zebras, African Buffalo, Eland, Warthogs, Hippos, and Giant African Elephants, another big draw card to this picturesque national park it’s a dense population of big African Cats predators which include, Lions, Cheetah, Hyena, Jackals, and the ever-elusive Leopards which sometimes requires a trained eyes to spot or sight him. Lunch at the Picnic site.
- Late noon you will exit the crater and drive back to the lodge or hotel.

Best Time to Visit

June to October (Dry Season) – Best wildlife viewing, as animals gather around water sources, and vegetation is less dense.

November to May (Green Season) – Lush landscapes, fewer tourists, and excellent birdwatching, though occasional rains may occur.

Early Morning Departures – Best time for wildlife activity and cooler temperatures.

Weather & Climate

The crater’s temperatures can be chilly in the morning and warm by midday, so dressing in layers is recommended.

Rainy seasons (March-May & November) can make roads muddy but offer lush landscapes and fewer crowds.

Safari Vehicle & Guide

The tour is conducted in a 4x4 safari vehicle with a pop-up roof for excellent wildlife viewing.

An experienced English-speaking guide/driver will accompany you throughout the trip.

Some tours may offer a private or group safari experience, depending on your booking.

Other language guides (e.g., French, Spanish, German, Italian, Chinese, etc.) can be arranged upon request in advance.

Wildlife Viewing Expectations

Ngorongoro Crater has one of the highest wildlife densities in Africa, making animal sightings almost guaranteed.

While chances of seeing the Big Five are high, wildlife sightings are never 100% predictable.

Morning hours are the best time to spot predators like lions and hyenas.

Health & Safety

Ngorongoro is a malaria-risk area, so bringing mosquito repellent is advised.

Follow all safari guidelines: stay inside the vehicle, avoid loud noises, and never feed the animals.

Listen carefully to your guide for a safe and enjoyable experience.
