Day 1- Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park Exploration
- Your safari begins with a visit to Lake Manyara National Park, renowned for its striking landscape, rich biodiversity, and unique wildlife.
- The park is famous for its lush green vegetation, the soda lake that attracts flamingos, and its remarkable tree-climbing lions.
- During the day, you’ll embark on a thrilling game drive where you might encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, and various species of birds. The park is also home to the famous hot springs, making for a fascinating addition to your visit.
- After a day of exploration, you’ll relax at one of the nearby lodges, where you can enjoy a restful evening amidst the beautiful surroundings.
Day 2- Ngorongoro Crater
- On the second day, you'll head to the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the "Garden of Eden." This UNESCO World Heritage site is one of the most well-preserved calderas in the world, home to a vast array of wildlife including the "Big Five" lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffaloes.
- With a descent into the crater floor, you'll have the opportunity to spot these majestic animals in their natural habitat. The crater is also home to a variety of bird species, and its unique landscape is a photographer's paradise.

1. Visa & Travel Documents

Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your planned travel dates.

Check if you require a visa for Tanzania, depending on your nationality. Most travelers can obtain a visa upon arrival or apply online.

2. Health & Vaccinations

It is recommended to get vaccinations for Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Typhoid, and Yellow Fever before traveling. Yellow Fever vaccination is particularly important if you're coming from a country with risk of the disease.

Consider taking malaria prophylaxis, as malaria is present in some regions of Tanzania.

3. Safari Expectations

Game drives: Expect early mornings and late afternoons for the best wildlife sightings. Be prepared for bumpy rides and long periods of sitting in the vehicle while observing animals.

Wildlife: While Tanzania offers some of the best wildlife viewing in the world, sightings are not guaranteed. Patience is key, and guides will do their best to show you the most incredible wildlife experiences.

Weather: It can be hot during the day, but mornings and evenings can be chilly, especially in the Ngorongoro Crater. Be sure to dress in layers.

4. What to Pack

Bring lightweight, neutral-colored clothing, comfortable shoes, and a hat to protect from the sun.

Don't forget essentials like sunscreen, insect repellent, a camera with extra memory cards, and a good pair of binoculars for animal viewing.

Bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout your safari.

5. Safety and Etiquette

Follow your guide's instructions at all times, especially when it comes to safety during game drives. Never stand up or get out of the vehicle without permission.

Be respectful of local cultures and communities. Ask before taking photos of people or local tribes.

Keep noise levels low, and avoid sudden movements to avoid disturbing the wildlife.

6. Money & Tipping

The local currency in Tanzania is the Tanzanian Shilling (TZS). However, US dollars are widely accepted in tourist areas.

It’s a good idea to carry small denominations of US dollars, especially for tips or purchases.

Tipping your guide and driver is customary. A tip of $10–$20 per day is standard, but it’s always good to tip based on the level of service you receive.

7. Accommodation

Lodges and camps in Tanzania can range from basic to luxurious. Some accommodations might not have reliable Wi-Fi or electricity, especially in more remote areas, so be prepared for a more rustic experience.

You might experience occasional power outages, so it's a good idea to have a flashlight or headlamp.
