Day 1 - Arusha - Momela - Mariakamba Hut expand_more
- Meet your mountain guide at your hotel in Arusha at 9:30 am. You will drive for about 1 hour to Mount Meru Momela gate and start hiking for 4 hours with a picnic lunch to Mariakamba Hut at 8,500 ft., where you will have dinner and overnight.

Day 2 - Miriakamba to Saddle Hut expand_more
- After breakfast, you will start hiking for 4 to 5 hours to Saddle Hut at 11,500 ft. Enjoy your picnic lunch on the way. From here, the clients can hike for 2 hours to Little Mount Meru for a scenic view of the "Roof of Africa", Mount Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at Saddle Hut.

Day 3 - Saddle Hut - Mount Meru Summit - Momela expand_more
- Have a coffee at 1:00 am, then start hiking for 4.5 hours to the Mount Meru summit. Arrive at the summit at 5:30 am, awaiting sunrise. From the summit, descend back to Saddle Hut at 11,500 ft. for lunch. After lunch, descend to Miriakamba Hut for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 - Miriakamba - Momela gate- Arusha expand_more
- After breakfast, proceed with your morning trekking to Momella gate and enjoy your lunch en route. You have two routes as options. Route 1 is a straight descent to Momella Gate. It takes about 3 hours. Route 2 is a scenic route through the Meru Crater, down the Montane forest, and ending at Momella gate. It takes about 6 hours.
- After collecting your certificate, drive from Momella gate to your hotel and expect to arrive around 4 pm.

What to bring
When you prepare for your safari to Tanzania, the most important thing is to pack your travelling documents, such as passport, visa, air ticket, yellow fever vaccine, and travel insurance documents; since the pandemic broke out, a negative Covid 19 PCR test/Covid 19 vaccination certificate, clothes for cold weather and all required equipment for climbing Mountain that are not mentioned in the itinerary as inclusive.
