  • Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park expand_more
    • Drive from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park, which takes about 4 hours.

    • After having a picnic lunch in Manyara, start a late afternoon game drive with your Tanzanian safari guide. This is the best time to view animals in this park.

    • When you approach the park from the east, the Rift Valley escarpment looms on the horizon, forming an impressive backdrop to the lake. In the tall trees of the groundwater forest, monkeys leap from branch to branch, and on the escarpment, elephants stand in the shade. Other animals frequently seen are zebras, impalas, monkeys, giraffes, buffalos, hippos, and others.

    • Head to Flamingo Safari Campsite or a similar campsite for your dinner and overnight.

  • Day 2: Lake Eyasi expand_more
    • After breakfast, drive from Flamingo Safari Campsite to Lake Eyasi.

    • On the way, stop by the Hadzabe bushmen. They are among the last hunter-gatherers in the world.

    • At Lake Eyasi, see great birdlife and meadows along the lake shores and forest are home to a wide variety of wildlife, including leopard, hippos, a variety of monkeys, various birds, greater and lesser flamingoes, storks, and pelicans.

    • Drive back to Panorama Hotel or a similar hotel for your dinner and overnight.

  • Day 3: Serengeti National Park expand_more
    • Drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge, which takes 3 to 4 hours. Olduvai Gorge is an archaeological site located in the eastern Serengeti plains, in which early human fossils were first discovered. It has an amazing landscape that resulted from the same tectonic forces that created the Great Rift Valley millions of years ago.

    • Late in the evening, arrive for an overnight at the Nguchiro Campsite.

    Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

  • Day 4: Serengeti National Park expand_more
    • After breakfast, venture into Serengeti’s wilderness corners for a full day of game viewing in the park.

    • With a picnic lunch, take your leisure time exploring this world heritage site, where the earth’s largest concentration of plain game still roams free!

    • In the late evening, go to Nguchiro Campsite for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater expand_more
    • After breakfast, go to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive inside the crater. This is the best place in Tanzania to see black rhino as well as the pride of lions that include the magnificent black-manned males. Apart from the animals, also find a lot of colourful flamingoes and a variety of water birds. Other animals that you can see include leopard, cheetah, hyena, other members of the antelope family, and small mammals.

    Dinner and overnight at Simba Public Campsite or similar campsite.

  • Day 6: Tarangire to Arusha expand_more
    • After breakfast, head to Tarangire National Park, which takes about 2 hours. This park is spectacular in the dry season when many of the migratory wildlife species come back to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River. Huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and oryx gather to stay in Tarangire until the onset of the rain when they migrate again to good grazing areas.

    • In the evening, drive back to Arusha.
