- Meet your tour guide at a pre-decided location and make your way around the city.
Start the tour with a visit to the National Palace Museum where the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing court artefact collection can be found. Don't miss the Three Treasures of the National Palace Museum: the Jadeite Cabbage, Meat-shaped Stone, and Mao Gong Ding.
Set out to the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, an important landmark for Taiwan’s democratic progress. It is also where the National Theater and Concert Hall are located.
- Make your way to the Longshan Temple, located in the Wanhua district in the west of Taipei. Tourists here can pray for love in front of Yue Lao, or The Old Man under the Moon. It was built in 1738 by Fujian settlers for the safety of the neighbourhood. 280 years later, Longshan remains the spiritual heart of Taipei. The Huaxi Night market, Herb Lane, and Bopiliao nearby are also good to see.
- Stroll through the old Dihua Street, also known as the Lunar New Year shopping district. Indulge in some souvenir shopping in shops selling items for Chinese New Year, old traditional ware, and cultural artefacts.
Visit the Presidential Office Building and enjoy its solemn and simple architectural style.
Stroll through Xiangshan Park and enjoy an easy hike up the hill through the many trails. Enjoy the panoramic view of Taipei cityscape and see Taipei 101 from higher ground.
