Description
This private tour is designed for cruise guests and includes visits to Ephesus Ancient City and the House of the Virgin Mary. Your tour will start as your private guide meets you at Kusadasi Cruise Port.
Our first stop is Ephesus Ancient City, one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the world. It is an important historical site where Saint Paul preached and is mentioned in the New Testament. Inside Ephesus, we will also see the Terrace Houses, which belonged to the city's rich families. These houses have beautiful mosaics, frescoes, and one of the earliest central heating systems. Terrace Houses require an extra entrance fee and are optional for visitors.
After spending 2-3 hours in Ephesus, we will visit the House of the Virgin Mary before having a lunch break. It is believed that the Virgin Mary spent her last years here, and the site is an important Christian pilgrimage destination.
For lunch, we will go to a local restaurant of your choice. Afterward, you will have free time to explore local shops and shop.
At the end of the tour, we will drop you off at Kusadasi Cruise Port.
