Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Tunis

   • Arrive at Tunis-Carthage International Airport.

   • Meet your guide and transfer to your hotel.

   • Check into the hotel and settle in.

   If arrival is in the morning:

   • Begin with a guided walking tour of the Old Medina of Tunis (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

   • Enjoy lunch at a traditional local restaurant.

   • Visit the Bardo National Museum, renowned for its Roman mosaics.

   • Explore the blue-and-white village of Sidi Bou Said.

   • Return to the hotel for a free evening.

   If arrival is in the evening:

   • Proceed with a simple airport pickup and hotel transfer.

   • Use free time to rest after your journey.

   • Postpone all visits to Day 5 if time allows.

2. Day 2: Tunis – Kairouan – Sbeitla – Tozeur

   • Have breakfast at the hotel.

   • Depart for Kairouan, one of Islam’s holiest cities.

   • Visit the Great Mosque of Okba Ibn Nafaa.

   • Explore the Aghlabid Basins and the Mausoleum of Sidi Sahbi (the Barber’s Mausoleum).

   • Stroll through the historic Medina.

   • Eat lunch at a local restaurant in Kairouan.

   • Continue to Sbeitla for a guided tour of the Roman archaeological site.

   • Arrive in Tozeur in the evening and check into your hotel.

   Dine at your leisure and spend the night in Tozeur.

3. Day 3: Full-Day 4x4 Safari – Mountain Oases & Star Wars Sites

   • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

   • Depart for a full-day 4x4 safari adventure.

   • Discover the mountain oases of Chebika, Tamerza, and Mides Canyon.

   • Have lunch in a local lodge or restaurant.

   • Visit Ong Jmel and the Star Wars film set near Nefta.

   • Witness the sunset over the Sahara Desert.

   • Return to your hotel in Tozeur for an overnight stay.

4. Day 4: Tozeur – Chott El Jerid – Douz – Sahara Desert Camp

   • Start the day with an early breakfast and check-out.

   • Take a guided walk through Tozeur’s traditional Medina.

   • Enjoy an optional carriage ride through the oasis (at extra cost).

   • Cross the vast Chott El Jerid salt lake.

   • Travel through Kebili en route to Douz, known as the Gateway to the Sahara.

   • Use free time in Douz for optional camel rides or quad biking (extra charge).

   • Depart in the afternoon for a desert camp in the Sahara.

   • Watch the sunset over the dunes.

   Dine traditionally and spend the night in a Berber tent under the stars.

5. Day 5: Douz – Matmata – El Jem – Return to Tunis

   • Eat breakfast at the camp.

   • Depart for Matmata and visit the traditional underground troglodyte homes.

   • Continue to El Jem for a guided visit of the spectacular Roman Amphitheatre (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

   • Enjoy lunch en route (optional).

   • Return to Tunis by evening.

   If Day 1 activities were postponed due to a late arrival:

   • Visit the Old Medina, Bardo Museum, or Sidi Bou Said if time allows before your airport transfer.
