The itinerary

Day 01

Hammamet to El Djem, Matmata and Ksar Ghilane Desert Camp

Early morning pickup from your hotel in Hammamet and departure towards southern Tunisia.
Stop at the Roman Amphitheater of El Djem, one of the largest and best-preserved Roman monuments in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Continue to Matmata, famous for its lunar landscapes.
Visit a traditional Berber troglodyte house and learn about local customs and architecture.
Drive towards Ksar Ghilane, a remote oasis deep in the Sahara Desert.
Arrive at the desert camp and settle into your tent.
Take part in the traditional preparation of sand bread in the desert.
Enjoy a Bedouin evening around the campfire.
Have dinner at the camp, followed by free time for stargazing and an overnight stay in a desert tent.

Day 02

Ksar Ghilane through Tataouine and Chenini to Djerba

Enjoy breakfast at the desert camp.
Depart from Ksar Ghilane towards the Berber region of Tataouine.
Visit Chenini, an ancient Berber hilltop village with cave dwellings and panoramic desert views.
Continue towards Djerba Island.
Stop for lunch en route at a local restaurant.
Arrive in Djerba and check in at your hotel in the city centre.
Enjoy a free afternoon to relax and explore the island at your own pace.
Walk along the beach during summer.
Enjoy a drink at the Djerba Casino or at a seaside café.
Dinner on your own and overnight stay in a hotel in central Djerba.

Day 03

Djerba, Houmt Souk and El Djem to Hammamet

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
Spend a free morning in Houmt Souk to explore or book optional activities such as an island tour, quad ride, Jet Ski, or Djerba exploration.
Visit the local market, assist in buying fish, and enjoy a group local lunch.
Travel north back towards Hammamet.
Stop in El Djem for a coffee break near the amphitheater.
Continue the journey to Hammamet and conclude the tour.
