Day 1: Explore Kigali City and Transfer to Nyanza
- Begin the day with a morning pickup from your hotel in Kigali.
Start a guided city tour by visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial to understand Rwanda’s recent history.
Proceed to Kimironko Market to experience vibrant local commerce and daily life.
Depart Kigali at approximately 11:00 AM and embark on a scenic 5 to 6-hour drive to Nyanza.
Admire the rolling hills, lush valleys, and picturesque Rwandan countryside en route.
Arrive in Nyanza and visit the Royal Palace Museum to discover Rwanda’s monarchical heritage and cultural traditions.
Explore the traditional palace and learn about royal customs and daily life of former Rwandan kings.
Check into your lodge and unwind for the evening.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking, Canopy Walk, and Return to Kigali
- Wake up early and transfer to the park headquarters by 5:00 AM for your chimpanzee trekking briefing.
Begin the trek through Nyungwe Forest to locate and observe a habituated chimpanzee group.
Spend up to one hour watching the chimpanzees in their natural environment as they interact and move through the forest.
Break for lunch at the lodge or a nearby picnic spot within the forest.
Embark on a 1-hour canopy walk starting at approximately 2:00 PM.
Walk along suspended bridges above the treetops and enjoy sweeping views of the rainforest and surrounding landscapes.
Observe birdlife and forest biodiversity while experiencing the unique canopy-level perspective.
Drive back to Kigali in the late afternoon.
Get dropped off at your hotel or at Kigali International Airport, marking the end of the tour.
