Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Akagera National Park
- Get picked up from your hotel or residence in Kigali at 05:00 AM.
Depart for Akagera National Park by 05:30 AM.
Eat breakfast en route during the approximately 3-hour scenic drive to the park.
Arrive at the park gate, complete entry formalities, and enjoy a short introductory game drive to your lodge.
Continue with a 6-hour game drive exploring the diverse landscapes and wildlife of Akagera, home to lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species.
Stop for a picnic lunch at a designated area within the park.
Embark on a 1-hour boat ride on Lake Ihema at 03:00 PM.
Enjoy the scenic views of the lake, spot hippos, crocodiles, and observe birdlife such as pelicans, fish eagles, and kingfishers.
Return to the lodge in the evening.
Eat dinner and relax at Mantis Akagera Game Lodge.

Arrive in Kigali and visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about Rwanda’s history and honor the victims.
Proceed to Kimironko Market, a bustling local market known for fresh produce, handmade crafts, and cultural vibrancy.
Conclude the city tour with drop-off at Kigali International Airport, your hotel, or a location of your choice.
