Day 1: Explore Almourol & Tomar expand_more
Meet your tour guide at your hotel at 8:30 AM and head out to explore the route of the Portuguese Templars.
Start your tour by visiting the Almourol Castle, an impressive medieval fortress located on a small rocky island in the middle of the Tagus River.
Continue towards the Convent of Christ, which is a former Roman Catholic convent in Tomar. Originally a 12th-century Templar stronghold, when the order was dissolved in the 14th century, the Portuguese branch was turned into the Knights of the Order of Christ that later supported Portugal's maritime discoveries of the 15th century.
Visit the Church of St. John the Baptist, the matrix church of Tomar and the Church of Santa Maria dos Olivais, all fine examples of Gothic architecture.

Day 2: Dornes, Alcobaça & Sintra expand_more
Make your way to Dornes, where you can learn about one of the most important battles of medieval Europe in the Battle of Aljubarrota Interpretation Center.
Continue to the Alcobaça Monastery that contains one of the largest Cistercian abbeys in Europe. This architectural masterpiece was ordered to be built by D. Afonso Henriques, the first king of Portugal.

Day 3: Quinta da Regaleira & Lisbon expand_more
Make your way to the enchanting Quinta da Regaleira. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the complex contains a beautiful palace, chapel, gardens, tunnels and initiation wells.
Head to Lisbon and visit the Tower of Belém, one of the architectural jewels of the reign of Manuel I.
Explore the National Navy Museum and see how the Order’s cross remains the symbol of the Portuguese Navy and Air Force.
Return to your accommodation at 6:00 PM.
