Itinerary

Day 1: Acclimatizing for full day
Arrive and spend the day acclimatizing.

Day 2: Huaraz – Huanucoviejo – Queropalca
Early in the Morning, have breakfast at the hotel and transfer to la Union by the paved highway for about 4 hours approximately to get la Union District.
Then, in 20 minutes, ascend up to the Inca’s Ruins Huanucoviejo or Huanucopampa and enter to visit the ruins.
Observe the main Ushnu or ceremonial center, the Acllawasi or women’s house, the military house, and Incas bath, the nice 6 porches, the principal entrance to the main building.
After visiting all archaeological site of Incas, continue to drive to Baños district, its name because hot springs in the Incas bath, pass this town.
Continue to Queropalca and arrive at the campsite 3841masl.

Day 3: Queropalca – Carhuacocha
Morning breakfast at Queropalca, and hike-up along the Carhuacocha river, walking the highland full pastures, with first views of Huayhuash mountain as we approach Carhuacocha.
After three hours hike, arrive at Carhuacocha, where the campsite is set-up.
Have lunch at camp and walk around the lake in the afternoon.
Dinner and overnight in Carhuacocha 4200masl.

Day 4: Carhuacocha – Mitucocha
Morning Breakfast at the campsite in Carhuacocha and then, hike-up to Carhuac Pass with wonderful mountains and lakes of Huayhuash.
Hike-up for about 3 hours to the pass, then, walk down to the next campsite of Janca down to Mitucocha with your Peru tour guide.
Dinner and overnight at 4200masl

Day 5: Mitucocha – Rondoy
Enjoy a typical breakfast at the campsite and then, start hiking to the Lake of Mitucocha.
Then, turn into the right side quite slope and hike up to the next pass of Cacanan Pass at 4750masl, walking about 4 hours, with spectacular views and walk.
Descend down for about 3 hours to Rondoy Campsite.
Dinner and overnight at 4100masl.

Day 6: Rondoy – Jahuacocha
Breakfast in the campsite and start hiking up to the slope to Sambunya pass for about 3 hours.
Get the Sambunya Pass 4750masl. Stop for some minutes for photos, if it's not windy, it's nice staying here, if its windy better continue down.
As we go down, appreciate another beautiful green lake of Soltero Cocha, a nice and wonderful lake. Pass this lake in Jahuacocha, the nicest panoramic lake where our campsite is set up.
Arrive at Campsite, dinner and overnight at camp Jahuaccha 4200masl.

Day 7: Jahuacocha – Llamac – Huaraz
Leave the most beautiful trek and go-up easy walking to the Pampallamac place, where we’ll bid farewell to the Huayhuash Mountains.
A few meters down, have lunch.
After resting for a few minutes, we’ll go-down to Llamac town arriving at 1 or 2 pm approx.
Then, leave Llamac town driving down along the Llamac river until Timpoc, where the Llamac river and the Pacllon river joins, and from here, we’ll start going-up to Chiquian along the Ainin river, arriving at Chiquian at 12m approx.
The passengers will walk around the village, and after continuing to Huaraz for 3 hours drive, we will go to Huaraz Hotel6.21 miles (10 km), 6 hrs of trekking, 4 hours Bus Meals: B/L
