Day 1- Arrive at Huaraz expand_more
Meet your guide after arriving at Huaraz and participate in a donation drive.

Day 2- Explore Huanucopampa and other Archaeological Sites of Incas expand_more
Have breakfast and head to the La Union district via a paved highway (for about 4 hours approximately).
Reach Inca Ruins Huanucoviejo or Huanucopampa and spend an hour in the main building. Observe the main Ushnu (ceremonial center), the Acllawasi (women’s house), the military house, and the Incas bath, and see the six porches, the principal entrance to the main building.
Proceed to the other archaeological sites of the Incas.
Drive to Baños district, famous for its hot springs in the Incas bath, pass this town and continue to Queropalca.
Arrive at the campsite in the district of Queropalca 3841masl.

Day 3- Visit Carhuacocha from Queropalca expand_more
Enjoy breakfast at Queropalca, and hike up along the Carhuacocha River.
Walk on the highland full of pastures and be delighted by the first views of Huayhuash mountain. As you approach Carhuacocha, you will be greeted by the most beautiful scenery. Arrive at Carhuacocha and set up your camp.
Have lunch at the campsite and savour the inspiring views as you walk around the lake.
Dinner and overnight in Carhuacocha (4200 masl).

Day 4- Witness the Beauty of Siula Lake expand_more
Start your trek at 8 a.m. after breakfast and be amazed by the three different colour lakes of Siula Lake.
Get to the Siula Pass at 4850 masl, and have lunch next to the Carnicero lakes.
Hike down to your camping place, 4350 Masl.
Distance- 13.8 km

Day 5- Trek to Portachuelo de Huayhuash Pass expand_more
Trek to the Portachuelo de Huayhuash Pass after breakfast.
Proceed down to your campsite at Viconga to have lunch.
Stroll through the hot springs, a 20-minute walk from the camp (4390 masl).

Day 6- Hike to See the Cuyoc Mountain expand_more
Hike to the highest pass of your trip (3 Hours) and enjoy the views of Cuyoc Mountain.
Hike down to the Guanacpatay Valley to have lunch.
Walk a few hours to reach your camping place in the peaceful Valley of Guanacpatay (4150 masl).

Day 7- Proceed to the Huayllapa Village expand_more
Depart at 8 a.m., and proceed along the valley down to Huayllapa, a small isolated peasant village at 3490 masl. The small Andean shops here will provide soda drinks, beers, and first-house necessities.
Arrive around 1 pm for lunch, and go shopping around the village.

Day 8- Start for Tapush Pass expand_more
Hike for 5 hours to reach the Tapush pass at 4480 Masl.
Walk down the trail for about two hours and arrive at the camp place (4417 Masl) by late afternoon.
Distance- 12 km
Duration- 5-6 hrs of trekking

Day 9- See the Beautiful Jahuacocha lake expand_more
Trek to the Yaucha Pass (4800 masl) after breakfast and spend the next two hours there.
Continue down the Huacrish ravine for three or four hours and be surprised by a beautiful panoramic landscape. The Jahuacocha Lake, at the base of the mountains- Jirishanca, Yerupaja, and Rondoy, is a beautiful green-coloured lake at 4066 masl camp place.
Enjoy the spectacular avalanches coming down from the base of the mountains of Jirishanca.
Next to your camp, find a typical mountain hut for sheepherders.
Overnight in Jahuacocha at (4050 masl)

Day 10- Return Journey expand_more
Go easy walking to the Pampallamac place, where you’ll say goodbye to the Huayhuash Mountains.
After resting for a few minutes, have lunch and proceed down to Llamac town, arriving at 1 or 2 pm approx.
Drive down along the Llamac River until Timpoc, where the Llamac and the Pacllon rivers join.
Ride along the Ainin River to reach Chiquian, saunter around the village, and continue to Huaraz for 3 hours.
Distance- 10 km
Duration- 6 hrs of trekking + 4 hrs bus ride
