Description

Acclimatizing comunity support full day tour
This day is reserved for acclimatization. During which, you can give some donations to the nearby villages.
Make stops to visit maybe lakes, some point of views natural touristic places, or local artisans or observe know local traditions and culture. Arriving at the right person or community. The Huaraz tour guides will make a donation in presence of contributors so they can witness the real benefits instead of making deposits in black bank accounts.
At a proper time, return to Huaraz Hotel. Arriving at 7 pm, from any place.

Huaraz – Llamac – Cuartelhuain
Pack your bags and leave Huaraz for Llamac 3350m. (5 hours).
Drive south and cross the wild paramo (puna) Conococha pass 4500m, passing the southernmost peaks of the Cordillera Blanca. The Huayhuash range, containing in a single cluster seven of the highest and most dramatic summits in Peru, reveals itself on your descent to the small town of Llamac.
Continue going-up through the Pocpa valley, and reach a peasant town, typically called Pocpa 3600. It is the last town in this valley where you can buy some soda drinks for the sunny way.
After a few hours of trekking, approx. at 1 pm, arrive in Pallca where you will have lunch.
From here, after half an hour, get to your camping site at Matacancha (4100 masl). Here, appreciate the Ninashanca Mountain (5607 masl), Rondoy (5870 masl).
Overnight camping at Cuartelhuain at (4200masl).
Direct drive from Huaraz to Cuartelhuain 5 hours approx. plus one hour for lunch - 167 km approx

Cuartelhuain – Mitucocha – Carhuacocha
Get ready with your things after breakfast and at 8 am start your trek. This is going to be a bit difficult because the climb to the pass will take you about 2 or 3 hours.
From the pass, go down and then go up (approx 30 minutes). On this route, the travellers will appreciate the Andean rabbits called Vizcachas.
Start trekking which is going to be easy. After 3 hours walking, reach the next pass. Enjoy the white peaked mountains such as Yerupaja, Jirishanca, and Siula.
Reach the campsite (approx at 5 or 6 pm). You will be surprised by a beautiful lake, keeping the mountain’s silhouettes green-hued.
Prepare the camp at a special site facing the lake.

Carhuacocha – Huayhuash
Start trekking after breakfast.
Ascend for approx one hour and you will get the nicest three different colour lakes of Siula. It is not so difficult to get the viewpoint of Siula Lake.
Then, get to the Siula Pass at 4850 masl.
After the pass, reach a scenic place next to the Carnicero lakes.
Descend for a few kilometres to reach the campsite (4350 masl).to have lunch.

Huayhuash – Viconga
Continue trekking after breakfast.
Go up easily going-up to the Portachuelo de Huayhuash Pass.
From here, go down to the campsite at Viconga to have lunch.
Go to the hot springs via a 20-minute walk down from the camp. Those who don’t want to go to the hot springs will have a free afternoon and rest at the camp (4390 masl).

Viconga – Surasaca – Churin
Early in the morning, start hiking up to Portachueo Viconga, passing closer to the lake of Viconga.
After two hours walking, get to the pass of Portachuelo at 4500masl.
Then, continue to walk down for one hour and arrive to lake Surasaca.
Hike along the Lake for another two hours arriving at the bottom of the lake around 12 in the day.
Take your private minibus and head down, by the nicest route, by the lake Rumbrococha. Pass by the typical village of Quiches, Cashaucro 3500masl and arrive at Oyon for a short break.
Take pictures and visit Plaza de Armas.
Continue down the valley to Churin district which is full of hot springs.
Savour lunch in a restaurant and enjoy accommodation in the hotel.
Dinner in a restaurant and overnight at a hotel in Churin at 2258masl.

Churin – Lima
Have a morning breakfast at the hotel around 7 am. Then, you have one hour if you want to return to the hot springs or someone wants the freshen up on the way to Lima.
Depart Churin at 9 am, and drive through a narrow valley, under rocky walls.
Then, leave a huge area of sugar cane farming fields. En-route, local vendors offer to tourists fruits from the farm.
Pass the village of Sayan where a lot of fruit vendors will offer you fresh fruit for the journey.
Arrive to Huacho around 1 pm for lunch in a recommended restaurant on the Pan-American Highway to Lima.
After lunch, drive directly to your hotel, airport or bus station in Lima, arriving around 6 pm.
