About me
I was born in the Apurimac region of Perú in 1979 and spent the first years of my life in the field, keeping animals and plowing the land.I remember the years between 1986 to 1990 as being troubled years for Peruvians due to terrorism.In 1992, I came to the city of Cusco where I lived with and got to know my godmother, who gave me huge support and education.
I have now lived in Cusco for over 20 years and for 10 of these years I have guided.I am currently working with the travel adventure specialist agency, Apus Peru, and have been with them for over five years. During these 10 years I have had the good fortune and opportunity to be able to explore and get to know very well many places both on and very much off the beaten track. I feel I have the best job in the world! Every time that we arrive in remote places far from what we consider to be ¨civilization¨, we form a special connection with nature and in this way we liberate our souls and spirits. My job as a guide is to trek with you to these unique locations and share my experience and knowledge, providing you with an unforgettable and safe journey.
Cusco is a magical city that has no description; you really have to be here to feel it.There is so much to see and explore, not withstanding all the festivities throughout the year, which celebrate the many traditions of rural communities and represent the heart of our ancient culture.For me, having been born in an indigenous village and as a native speaker of the Quechua language, sharing these special events with travelers from around the world is like sharing part of my life and family. There are also special places to visit within the city via walking tours and justfarther out on the edges that you can easily reach by bus. I can help you discover all these places that are near to the city as well as the ones lying beyond!
