About me

My name is Carlos Uriel Acosta, I was born in Panama City on November 17, 1980.I have lived most of my life near Panama City, but also because of this profession that I practice as a tour guide, I have been fortunate to be able to live in many other places throughout this beautiful country.

My last studies oriented to environmental sciences were carried out at Mt.Hood Community College in Gresham, Oregon USA, where I also managed to learn to speak English and finished them in August 2001.

From the year 2003 I began to get involved in the world of tourism.I started as an ecological guide at the Gamboa Rainforest Resort hotel, with little knowledge but a great desire to show the world my beautiful country and the advantage of being in a place where every day I could learn more and more about our abundant fauna and flora.

Gamboa and The Soberania National Park on the shores of the majestic Panama Canal were the places that saw me begin in this beautiful profession.Since then it has been 20 years working in different facets as a guide.Ecological, cultural, historical, adventure, fishing guide.I have had the opportunity to guide National Geographic groups and show our beautiful country to countless people.

I like to walk and observe our forests, I like the sea, I really like spending time with my family and I love my job.If I had to choose my life profession again, without a doubt I would choose to show the world my Panama
