Daymaniyat Islands Snorkelling and Sunset Cruise
Pick-up: We can arrange your pick-up from all major hotels in Muscat, or meet you at Marina Bandar Al Rowdha to go through the plan for the day and review emergency procedures.
Departing from Jumeirah Muscat Bay or Marina Bandar Al Rowdha, we'll begin our adventure with a thrilling dolphin-watching experience while admiring the beautiful views of the coastline and limestone cliffs. We often see pods of more than fifty dolphins dancing around the boat.
Next, we'll head to Fahal Island for a unique fishing adventure, where you can catch some local fish. As we continue our journey, there is also a high chance of witnessing magnificent whales in their natural habitat during our whale-watching session.
After that, we'll arrive at the Daymaniyat Islands, a group of nine uninhabited islands protected as a nature reserve. This is a popular destination for snorkelling and diving thanks to its turquoise waters and abundant coral reefs. We'll explore the eastern part of the archipelago and discover the diverse marine life and crystal-clear waters of Turtle Bay during our first snorkelling session. The Daymaniyat Islands are known for their unique ecosystem, which includes more than two hundred species of fish, sea turtles, dolphins, and even whale sharks.
After our snorkelling adventure, we'll enjoy a delicious picnic lunch surrounded by the pristine nature of the islands.
We'll then head to Coral Bay for our second snorkelling session, where we'll witness more colourful coral reefs and exotic fish.
As we sail back to Muscat, we'll take in the stunning views of the coastline and the landmarks of old Muscat, such as Al Alam Palace, Al Bahar Street, and Souq Mutrah. Your cruise will then offer a full view of the sun setting behind the rocky faces above Al Bahar Street. Enjoy the beautiful sunset before drop-off at the agreed point.
