Meet your tour guide at the agreed-upon location in Muscat and begin the tour.
Visit the ancient village of Al Hamra Heritage Village and Bait Al Safa living history museum, where locals demonstrate old Omani traditions in a restored 400-year-old mud-brick house. You will be encouraged to take a photo dressed in national costumes.
Walk to the picturesque old mountain oasis of Misfat Al Abrieen, with its banana groves and garden terraces. It is possible to find famous Omani mountain honey here in one of the local shops.
Take a ride on an electric train into the depths of the stunning Al Hoota Cave to explore 2 million-year-old stalactite and stalagmite formations and admire this natural wonder in complete silence. The cave is 5 km long and hosts a unique ecosystem with a number of lakes where endemic Bu Naseh blind fish swim. There is also a geological exhibition at the Visitors Center showcasing a variety of rocks and corals.
Go on a short and easy hike to admire Wadi Ghul - with unforgettable views of the Grand Canyon of Arabia. The Mountain of the Sun is part of the Hajar Mountain range and, at 2,997 meters, is the highest point in Oman.
