My name is Bruce Leitch, I live in Queenstown and operate as a full time fly fishing guide.I've lived in the area for 40 years and have fished all my life with my father's influence.My first guiding job was at 10 years of age in Alexandra where I took an American circus owner who was on holiday and didn't know where to fish.A little local knowledge went a long way and he had a fantastic time with some of the fattest fish he had ever seen! I worked in the hotel and ski industry for ten years before owning my own restaurants and have been guiding since 2000 on a full time basis.I am an active member of the New Zealand Professional Fishing Guide's Association and have been since 2001. My off-season involves fishing overseas in Western Australia, the east coast, Fraser Island and of late, the Zambezi River in Africa.FIshing is my passion, I love my back yard, good food and most of all, good people.Please feel free to contact me anytime you're in the area to enhance you're Southern Lakes experience with a lot of local knowlege.
