Description

Embark on this 8-day adventure like no other - the Mardi Himal Trekking. Discover Kathmandu's charm before a scenic drive to Pokhara. Trek through mystical forests, relishing breathtaking views from High Camp and Mardi Himal Base Camp. Immerse in local culture as you descend through quaint villages.

Itinerary

Day 1- Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara
- Take a flight to Pokhara from Kathmandu for 30 minutes. Drive from Pokhara to Phedi and take a 5-hour trek to Deurali at 2,100 metres.
Overnight at a teahouse in Deurali.
Day 2- Deurali to Forest Camp
- Trek to Forest Camp at 2,520 metres from Deurali for 7 hours.
Overnight at Lodges around Forest Camp.
Day 3- Forest Camp to Low Camp
- Trek to Low Camp at 2,970 metres from Forest Camp for 4 hours via Badal Danda at 3,268 metres.
Overnight at a teahouse in Low Camp.
Day 4- Low Camp to High Camp
- Trek to High Camp at 3,900 metres from Low Camp for 5 hours.
Overnight at a tea house in High Camp.
Day 5- High Camp to Mardi Himal viewpoint and return to High Camp
- Exploration around High Camp and a 6-hour hike to Upper View Point at 4,450 metres and return to High Camp.
Overnight at High Camp.
Day 6- High Camp to Siding Village
- We’ll begin our hike from High Camp to Trek to Siding Village at 1,700 metres. It takes around 6 hours from High Camp to reach Siding village. But the elegant landscape, lush forests, and clear weather make the hike tireless.
Overnight at a tea house in Siding.
Day 7- Siding Village to Pokhara
- Trek to Lumre for 3 hours and a 2-hour drive from Lumre to Pokhara. In the evening, you can enjoy drinks at local pubs and cafes.
Day 8- Kathmandu Departure
- Pokhara to Kathmandu fly or land transport. Tour ends.

Entrance fees for sightseeing/Monument

Any extra transportation except itinerary (we can arrange if requested)

Any kind of personal expenses / Helicopter rescue due to causes out of our control

Any other expenses which are not mentioned in the inclusive price

Some extra assistance (if you can not walk properly, our guide will arrange for your horse to come back. If applicable, you have to pay them directly

Tips to staff. After working everyone expects some Tips, we never tell you a fixed amount, because it is up to you and up to their service, but generally tourists usually give 10% of the total cost

First-aid kit; should contain lip salve, Aspirin, Band Aids, anti-histamine, Imodium or similar tablets for mild cases of diarrhea

Re-hydration powder, extra prescription drugs you may be taking if any particular

Wet wipes for cleaning can be purchased in Kathmandu.

Bag Liners to waterproof your bags (A duffel bag is provided to each trekker for trekking by MMT in Kathmandu)

Comfortable and sturdy walking shoes (worn frequently prior to departure)

Socks: thick wool blend and thin cotton to be worn in combination - ensure boots fit such combination

Running shoes or sandals for evening

Wool jumper/sweater/fleece. Lightweight during summer, 1 heavyweight or 2 lightweights during winter months.

Shirt - Long Sleeved

Pants - lightweight long trousers (jeans are unsuitable)

Thermals upper and lower

Extra warm clothing during winter (December to March) layered clothing - thermals.
