Go trekking around Nayapul, Trikhedhunga, Ulleri, Ghorepani, Poon Hill viewpoint and Ghandruk Gurung typical village. See the magnificent view of the Himalayas from Poon Hill and marvel at the different ethnic groups and their lifestyle.

  • Day 1: Pokhara to Nayapul to Tikhedhunga expand_more

    • Meet your guide in your hotel lobby.

    • Then, drive in a private vehicle to Nayapul, following the scenic winding highway that offers views of Pokhara Valley and the Himalayan ranges to Nayapul. (Drive in total will take about 1.5 hours).

    • Start the trek towards Tikhedhunga. Following the Modi River, walk past the forest of blooming rhododendrons and cross a small stream.

    • Cross Birethanti after about half an hour of the trek and arrive at Tikhedhunga.

    Overnight in the guest house at Tikhedhunga.

  • Day 2: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani expand_more

    • A steep trek for about 2 hours will take you to Ulleri (2070m).

    • Cross the Magar village of Banthanti from where you can get spectacular views of Machhapuchhre Mountain (6997m), Hiunchuli Mountain (6441m) and Annapurna South Mountain (7219m). Cross the small river and climb to Nangethanti.

    • Arrive at Ghorepani, which offers soaring views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Annapurna I and other mountains.

    Spend overnight in Ghorepani.

  • Day 3: Ghorepani to Poon Hill to Ghandruk expand_more

    • Get up very early and reach the base of Poon Hill.

    • After about an hour of climbing, reach Poon Hill viewpoint (3210 meters). 

    • Enjoy the sunrise view over Dhaulagiri Mountain (8167m), Annapurna I Mountain (8091m), Annapurna II Mountain (7937m), Annapurna III Mountain (7855m), Annapurna IV Mountain (7525m), Annapurna South Mountain (729m), Nilgiri Mountain (6940m), Tukuche Mountain (6920m).

    • After sunrise, return to the guest house in Ghorepani for an onward walk and then take the descending trail to Ghandruk Gurung village.

    • Homestay in Ghandruk is a pleasant experience.

    Overnight in Ghandruk.

  • Day 4: Ghandruk to Nayapul to Pokhara expand_more

    • Descend the scenic route with views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Fishtail and Gangapurna Mountains.

    • Cross the forest of blooming rhododendrons and reach Birethanti, from where we will take the downhill walk and follow Modi Khola till we reach Nayapul.

    • From Nayapul, meet the driver and drive back to your hotel in Pokhara in an hour and a half.
