Get picked up from your hotel at 8 am and drive to Swayambhunath Stupa, an ancient religious architecture atop a hill in the Kathmandu Valley. Swayambhunath is additionally referred to as the Monkey Temple due to the abundance of monkeys in this area.
Go to Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most important and significant Hindu temples of Lord Shiva in the world. Located on the bank of the holy Bagmati River, the temple of Pashupatinath (Lord of Animals) is believed to be two thousand years old and is one of the oldest temples in the world. Although majority of the temple is only for Hindus, the temple is clearly visible from the other side of the river.
Reach the Boudhanath Stupa at around noon. Another UNESCO World Heritage site, the Boudhanath stupa is another holy site of the Kathmandu valley.
Proceed to Patan Durbar Square. This concentrated mass of temples is perhaps the most visually stunning display of Newari architecture to be seen in Nepal. After finishing sightseeing in Patan on the way to your hotel, the driver will drop you to Kathmandu Durbar Square (only if you are staying at Thamel) from where you can walk back to Thamel through a narrow and oldest open street market of Asan.
Make your way to the Kathmandu Durbar Square if you are not staying in Thamel. Admire many pagoda style temples, the ancient royal palace and museum, the Kashthamandap Temple (which named to the city as Kathmandu), the Living Goddess Kumari and her temple and finally the Black Bhairava (God of death).
Drive back to your hotel at around 6 pm.
