Description

Arrive in Kathmandu for a spectacular view of the Himalayas. Make your way through temples, monasteries and villages. Next, visit the Annapurna Sanctuary to have a look at the wildlife. Finally, admire Mt. Annapurna, the world’s 10th largest mountain.

  • Day 1- Arrival in Kathmandu expand_more
    • Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.

  • Day 2- Sightseeing in Kathmandu expand_more
    • After breakfast, embark on a guided tour to the Kathmandu valley's major historical, cultural and spiritual attractions.

    • Visit world heritage sites such as the historic Durbar Square, the Pashupatinath temple, the Swayambunath temple and the Bouddhanath Stupa.

    • Later in the afternoon, join for a brief discussion with the mountain guide and other team members who will accompany you. Then, spend the time at your leisure.

  • Day 3- Trek to Pokhara expand_more
    • Start early in the morning to board a tourist bus to Pokhara, an enchanting city dotted by numerous lake.  Stop en route for lunch. View mountains such as Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhare, five peaks of Annapurna and other Himalayan peaks.

    • Take an evening stroll alongside the lakeside city for a thrilling experience.

  • Day 4- Drive and trek to Tikhedhunga or Ulleri expand_more
    • After a hearty breakfast early morning, drive to Nayapul, which is the start point of the trek. 

    • Stroll through sub-tropical valley forests, sometimes on the carved trail on the side of the cliff and follow the south bank of the river. Stop by for lunch. 

    • Cross the Modi Khola River via a suspension bridge to the village of Tikhedhunga. Halt overnight to prevent tiredness.

    • Trek further, if time allows, to reach Ulleri by late afternoon.

  • Day 5- Trek to Ghorepani expand_more
    • After breakfast, ascend to Ghorepani, an important campsite for trekkers. Buy any useful stuff.

    • Reach the pinnacle of Ghorepani village to enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, including Annapurna South and Nilgiri mountains.

  • Day 6- Trek to Tadapani expand_more
    • Head for Poon Hill to catch the awesome sunrise. Get panoramic views of Mustang, Pokhara valley and a close-up of more than 20 highest mountains, including Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. 

    • Return to Ghorepani after taking photographs and having refreshments.

    • After a hearty breakfast, head east to climb a nearby ridge and then descend through rhododendron forests.

    • Reach Tadapani, a common overnight stop.

  • Day 7- Trek to Chhomrong expand_more
    • After breakfast, descend downhill through dense forest growth to the village of Chuile and the Kimrong Khola (river).

    • Climbing to Chhomrong, which is an incredible location right on the lap of the Annapurna.

    • Gain a close-up view of the Annapurna south with the Fishtail facing it across the valley.

  • Day 8- Trek to Dovan expand_more
    • After a hearty breakfast, walk along the banks of the Modi Khola river originating from the Annapurna mountains.

    • Climb through the forest to reach Sinuwa Danda village. 

    • From Sinuwa Danda, continue your climb through wooded rhododendron forests and bamboo forest to reach Dovan, your halt for the night.

  • Day 9- Trek to Deurali expand_more
    • After breakfast, start from Dovan, following the river through bamboo, oak and rhododendron forests.

    • Cross two streams and small bridges to reach Deurali village.

  • Day 10- Trek to Machhapuchhare Base Camp expand_more
    • After breakfast, reach the Machhapuchhare Base Camp, following a trail on the river bed that gently slopes upwards to rise steeply up the mountain. 

    • Be prepared for a tough and strenuous hike.

  • Day 11- Hike to Annapurna Base Camp expand_more
    • After breakfast, begin the hike to the Annapurna Base Camp. Note the disappearing vegetation and encounter numerous snow boulders melting to form streams. 

    • Look at the legendary Annapurna sanctuary with a panoramic 360-degree view of Machhapuchhare, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Hiuchuli and other peaks.

  • Day 12- Trek to Bamboo expand_more
    • After early morning breakfast, with the awe-inspiring sunrise over the Himalayas, be ready to leave for Bamboo. 

    • Hike through various geographical features and fantastic views of Fishtail and Hiunchuli mountains.

  • Day 13- Trek to Jhinu Dada expand_more
    • Descend to Jhinu Danda to rejuvenate with a long soak in hot water.

  • Day 14- Drive to Pokhara expand_more
    • Trek through Kyumi village, Syauli bazaar, Birethanti before finally arriving at Nayapul.

    • Board the car to drive to your hotel in Pokhara. Once at the hotel, spend time at your leisure or take a stroll at the lakeside.

  • Day 15- Drive to Kathmandu expand_more
    • After breakfast, take a stroll around the lakeside or visit any monuments in Pokhara. 

    • Leave Pokhara for your hotel in Kathmandu. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure to catch up on some last-minute shopping or stroll down the capital city Kathmandu. 

    • Later in the evening, join for a celebration and a farewell dinner for completing an incredible journey.

  • Day 16- Final Departure expand_more
    • Arrive at the airport or extend your trip by taking another interesting trek, tour or extensions to Tibet, Bhutan or Sikkim. All you need to do is ask us!

Know before you go
  • One must be careful of some avalanche-prone areas in between Machhapuchhare Base Camp and Deurali.
