This trek has been particularly designed for those adventurers who wish for a cultural and spiritual trip in the Everest Region. Along with trekking in the region surrounded by the Himalaya peaks, culture enthusiasts also get to visit ancient monasteries, gumbas and witness the cultural life and traditions of the highland Sherpa people. This trek would be a great package for those who wish for cultural insights into the Sherpa version of Buddhism. 

  • Day 1- Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft) expand_more
    • Arrive at the airport and meet the guide. Afterwards, proceed to your hotel for check-in and refreshment.

    • Later in the evening, attend a small briefing on your trip ahead.

  • Day 2- Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation Day expand_more
    • After breakfast, embark on a guided tour to major historical, cultural and spiritual attractions of the valley, including World Heritage Sites.

    • Visit the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambunath) and the Buddhists shrine (Bouddha Nath).

    • Attend a short trip discussion with the mountain guide.

  • Day 3- Visit Lukla expand_more
    • After breakfast, take a flight to land on a steep mountain runway in the village of Lukla.

    • Head up for the Dudh Koshi Valley on a well-marked trail to Phakding.

  • Day 4 and 5- Stay at Namche Bazar expand_more
    • Catch a spectacular view of Mt. Thamserku as you trek through the settlements of Benkar, Chumoa, and Monjo before arriving at Sagarmatha National Park.

    • Climb through forests and bridges to reach the confluence of the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers at the base of Mt. Everest. 

    • Hike to reach Namche Bazar, gateway to Mt. Everest.

  • Day 6- Trek to Thame Gompa expand_more
    • After a hearty breakfast, move past Kongde Ri, Khumbi Yul La, and Kusum Kanguru.

    • Descend to Bhote Kosi to reach Thamel. Admire theviews of Teng Kangpoche and Kwangde.

  • Day 7- Trek to Khumjung expand_more
    • Trek down the Bhote Kosi Valley towards Namche and follow a quiet trail to Khumjung, a picturesque village. 

    • Visit the Hillary School. Head to the famous airstrip at Syangboche.

  • Day 8- Trek to Phortse expand_more
    • Hike to Phortse to enjoy the mesmerizing views of Phortse, Cholatse, Taboche, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Kangtanga, among others.

  • Day 9- Trek to Pangboche expand_more
    • After a hearty breakfast, start with a short climb to reach Pangboche. Visit the Pangboche Gompa to see the foot impression of the legendary Lama Sangwa Dorje.

  • Day 10- Trek to Tengboche expand_more
    • Hike down to join the Everest Base Camp main trail to Tengboche. Take in the view of the beautiful rhododendron bushes, pretty birds and superb mountain scenery.

  • Day 11- Trek to Namche expand_more
    • After a hearty breakfast, head down through hillsides to reach Namche.

    • Cover the trail to the Dudh Koshi gorge before arriving at Sansa, the major trail junction of this region.

  • Day 12- Trek to Lukla expand_more
    • Trek downhill to Lukla. Taste chang, local beer in the mountains, dance to Sherpa music, and reflect on a memorable trekking experience.

  • Day 13- Fly to Kathmandu expand_more
    • Board an early morning flight to Kathmandu. 

    Overnight in Hotel.

  • Day 14- Departure expand_more
    • Transfer to the airport to catch your flight back home. You can also extend your stay to trek to other areas of Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan, Darjeeling or Sikkim.
