Description

Embark on an exciting trek through the Valley of Glaciers, one of the most popular trekking trails in the Langtang Region. Start in the lower Langtang Valley, traverse through several forests, villages and farmlands, explore Kyangjin Gompa Monastery and Kyangjin Ri or make a day trip to Tseguri. Pass through the beautiful Tamang villages on your way to Kathmandu.

    You will be warmly welcomed at the airport by our office representative and then you will  transferred to hotel.

    • Pick up by our team and head to our office for your trek briefing and preparation
    • Afternoon sightseeing in Kathmandu

      • Swayambunath Monkey Temple
    • Drop of at your hotel

    Our staff will give brief explanation about the program and you will visit  cultural heritages, which includes some of the famous world heritages sites like, Swyambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, etc. 

  • Day 3- Kathmandu to Dhunche: (1937m) expand_more

     Drive approximately 8 hrs to Dunche with a beautiful view of the Trisuli River and surrounding forests.

  • Day 4- Dhunche to Syabru Village (2387m) expand_more
    •  A pleasant walk down to Shybru Village brings us across the Langtang River, the trail then ascends for approximately 2 hrs and then a further 2 hrs to reach to Shybru Village.
    • From here we witness a magnificent view of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu and Mt. Kerung of Tibet.
  • Day 5- Syabru Village to Lama Hotel: (2383m) expand_more
    • The trail descends for approximately 2hrs and then ascends for another 1hr to reach Bombu Village.
    • Following this we climb through Bombu jungle to end our day at Lama hotel.
  • Day 6- Lama Hotel to Langtang Village: (3541m) expand_more
    • Lama Hotel to Langtang Village: (3541m).
    • We trek through rhododendron and pine forested areas for approximately 6 hrs. until we reach Langtang.
  • Day 7- Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa: (3700m) expand_more
    • Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa: (3700m).
    • After trekking for 3 hrs. we arrive at Kyanging Gompa. From this point the view of Mt. Ganchempo and Langtang Himal is fantastic.
  • ​Day 8- Kyangjing Gompa to Yala Peak and back to Kyanging Gompa. expand_more
    • Kyangjing Gompa to Yala Peak and back to Kyanging Gompa After 3 hrs upward trek we reach Yala Peak from where panoramic view of the Langsisa Himal, Bhairab Takura, Dorje Lakpa, Yala and Lirung Glacier can be seen.
    • If you have two days more then you can go up to Langsisa kharka with camping gear.
  • Day 9- Kyangjing Gompa to Ghoretabela expand_more
    • Proceed from Kyangjing Gompa to Ghoretabela. The route is the same as previous one.
  • Day 10- Ghoretabela to Syabru Gaun expand_more
    • Proceed from Ghoretabela to Syabru Gaun. The route is the same as previous one.
  • Day 11- Syabru to Dhunche expand_more
    • Proceed from Syabru to Dhunche. The route is the same as the previous one.
  • Day 12- Back to the Kathmandu expand_more
    • Today, head back to Kathmandu.
  • Day 13- Departure expand_more
    • You are saying goodbye to the mountains as your journey in Nepal comes to an end today!

    • Approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight a representative from Touch The Himalayan will transfer you to the airport.
    • On your way home, you'll have plenty of time to plan your next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.

  • Footwear: An essential item on the Langtang Valley Trek packing list is a good pair of hiking boots. You can walk more easily on the route if you wear comfortable trekking footwear and socks.

  • Headwear inventory:

  • Trekking shoes: You will need a good pair of trekking boots because you will be travelling through the rocky terrain of the Langtang region. During the walk, you will be travelling through snow, muddy terrain, riverbanks, and dense woodland.
  • You will therefore need sturdy hiking footwear if you want to keep the walk simple. Pack a pair of sturdy, lightweight hiking footwear with decent traction.
  • Individual First Aid Kits:

    • Plasters, first aid supplies, and aspirin (Band-Aids)
    • one package to heal skin blemishes
    • antacid medications
    • headache medicine
    • a cold and/or cough remedy
    • Medications to prevent altitude sickness: Diamox or Acetazolamide
    • Antibiotics for the stomach: Ciprofloxacin, etc. Sleeping medicines shouldn't be brought because they are respiratory depressants.

Know before you go
  • Advice for Packing for the Langtang Valley Trek:
    • Purchase a cosy backpack for the hike.
    • Pack in accordance with the trek season.
    • Always have enough sanitary items on you
    • Bring clothing that dries quickly.
    • Always layer your clothing.
    • Eliminate extraneous stuff.
    • Your trash should be placed in a separate plastic bag.
    • Before the journey, break in your trekking shoes.
    • A down jacket, sleeping bags, and other trekking supplies can be rented.
  • Autumn (September to November) and spring are the ideal times to go on the Langtang Trek (March to May).
  • The weight limit of the luggage is 15 kg.
