Private Tour Guide In
Pokhara

Welcome to Nepal, I am a Tibetan, living in one of the Tibetan settlements in Pokhara valley. As an adult, I gradually became aware of tourists’ thirst for knowledge about Tibet and our rich cultural heritage that we Tibetans have well preserved in exile Nepal and India.  Therefore, I began to think about how I can share the best and real information about Tibet and its rich cultural heritage here in Nepal. As a result, I started "The Tibetan Encounter Day Tours" and developed morning/afternoon half-day, full-day, and overnight tours to my childhood community, Jampaling, as well as the three other Tibetan Refugees Settlements around Pokhara in 2010.If you would like to learn about Tibetan culture in an environment where Tibetans are free to tell their stories, please contact me about joining one of my cultural tours, which helps to preserve our precious heritage for future generations and makes the younger Tibetan generation aware of our history.Apart from the Tibetan tours, I also offer packages for trekking to lower and upper Mustang. As I was born in the upper Mustang, therefore, I could well explain the history of Tibet, its rich cultural heritage and Tibetan people living in these regions. Mustang is one of the most popular trekking destinations for the traveler who would like to explore ancient monasteries and caves in a remote area and a beautiful landscape. This forbidden kingdom and ancient wall city of Mustang and is open for trekkers since 1992.This trek is very enjoyable due to its isolation and beautiful landscape.Mustang is a remote, semi-independent Tibetan kingdom within the territory of Nepal ( just north of the Annapurna Region on the Tibetan border), and one of the last bastions of undisturbed Tibetan culture in the world.Mustang is also known as "Tibet outside the Tibetan Border" for it survived the Chinese invasion of 1950 and hence foster much original Tibetan culture, although it is now politically part of Nepal.
