The journey
Hike in the Everest Region in the north-eastern part of Nepal, also known as the Khumbu region, on one of the world's most adventurous treks. This 12-day journey takes you from Kathmandu to Lukla and onward through Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, Gorakshep, Everest Base Camp, and Kala Patthar. Enjoy majestic views of Ama Dablam, Pumori, and Island Peak along the way, with acclimatisation days built into the itinerary to help you adjust to the altitude.
This 12-day journey takes you from Kathmandu to Lukla and onward through Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, Gorakshep, Everest Base Camp, and Kala Patthar.

Trek from Tok-Tok to Namche Bazaar (3440 m).
Use the day for acclimatisation in Namche Bazaar. Do a 3-4 hour day hike for acclimatisation.
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,867m/12,684ft).

Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410m/14,495ft).
5-6 hours walk.
Spend the day in Dingboche, the second day for acclimatisation.
Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,928m/16,164ft).

Trek to Gorakshep and then to Everest Base Camp.

7-8 hours.
Hike to Kala Pattar and then to Pheriche (5,550m/18,204ft Kala Pattar)/ (4,358m/14,295ft Pheriche).

Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3,400m/11,283ft).

Trek from Namche to Lukla (2,652m/8,700ft).

Tips
Please note that you will take a smaller aircraft for the flight to the mountain region where the Everest Base Camp trek is located. Sometimes bad and critical weather may delay your journey to and from Kathmandu-Lukla-Kathmandu. Weather in the Himalayan and hilly regions can be changeable. We will try to follow the itinerary as closely as possible. In case of flight delays or cancellations, you may need a few extra days before and after the trekking days in the itinerary.
The trekking starts after a short flight to Lukla Airport from Kathmandu. The flight cost is included in the price.
The trek continues upward from Lukla at an altitude of 2800m to the base camp at 5364m. Good health, walking ability, and physical fitness are needed.
Acclimatisation days are included in the itinerary to allow for rest and for travellers to slowly adjust to the increasing altitude.

You will pass through villages while trekking and stay overnight in village tea houses. The taste of delicious food and the warm hospitality of the people will warm you up in the cold weather.
