Visit the Park Visitor’s Centre to see the record of plants and animals in Chitwan National Park and see 500 Asian one-horned rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tigers, elephants, and more. Witness the Tharu cultural dance performed by the local villagers.
Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
- Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport and head for the hotel.

Day 2: Drive to Pokhara
- Head for Pokhara early in the morning.
- Pass along terrace villages, farms, as well as cities with eye-catching views of snow-capped peaks.
- Stay in the hotel.

Day 3: Climb to Tikhhe Dhunga
- After breakfast, drive to Nayapul through to the Birethanti village (1,025m) at the shore of Modi River.
- Following the river, climb to Tikhhe Dhunga or Ulleri.
- Stay the night at a tea house or lodge.

Day 4: Trek to Ghorepani
- Trek to Ghorepani, passing Ulleri Village, taking approximately 5 hours to reach.
- On the way, traverse Tirkhe Dhunga and cross a river through a bridge over the Bhurungdi River.
- Pass by grazing scenery and cultivated regions through oak and rhododendron woods.
- Arrive at Nangethanti and then finally reach Ghorepani.
- Stay over at the tea house.

Day 5: Walk to Tadapani
- Move early in the morning to Poonhill, which is located at a height of 3210m.
- Reach the top of Poon Hill and be welcomed by the picturesque sunrise views over eye-catching peaks like Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and several more peaks.
- After that, walk to Tadapani, taking just around 6 hours.
- Spend the night at a tea house.

Day 6: Trek to Ghandruk
- From Tadapani, trek to Ghandruk, which lies at a height of 1900m.
- On the way, observe striking sub-tropical valleys, thick rhododendron woods and frozen waterfalls.
- See how villagers spend time knitting baskets and clothes and handling their resources.
- Take in the sight of the enormous Himalayan views of Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Tukuche (6920m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Nilgiri (6940m), Annapurna South (7219m), Machhapuchhre (Fish Tail) (6993m), Annapurna I (8,091m), Lamjung Himal (6931m) and many other peaks.
- Spend the night at a tea house.

Day 7: Pokhara
- Trekking for around 6 hours, walk downhill to reach Nayapul, passing the grazing lands in Modi River valley.
- Wander downhill with green cultivated farms to Modi River, again back to Nayapul.
- Drive back to Pokhara.
- Spend the night at Pokhara Hotel Dandelion Mount Kailash or a similar category.

Day 8: Drive to Chitwan
- Drive to Chitwan takes around 6 hours, depending on traffic jams.
- Visit the Park Visitor’s Centre to see the record of plants and animals in Chitwan National Park.
- Enjoy a spectacular sunset relaxing on the banks of Rapti River.
- Witness the Tharu cultural dance performed by the local villagers.
- Retire at Hotel Parkland or a similar category.

Day 9: Chitwan Jungle Safari
- Experience the jungle safari on your second day here.
- See many fauna, such as 500 Asian one-horned rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tigers, elephants, pythons, crocodiles, deer and more.
- Witness an elephant taking a bath.
- Head for a canoe ride and take a jungle walk.
- Indulge in bird watching on the river beach and see over 250 kinds of birds in the park.
- Spend the night at Hotel Parkland or a similar category.

Day 10: Kathmandu
- Return to Kathmandu. It takes around 6 hours to reach Kathmandu, depending on traffic jams.
- Stay the night in Kathmandu Hotel Shangrila or a similar category.
