    • Visit the Deadvlei, a white clay pan located near the more famous salt pan of Sossusvlei, inside the Namib-Naukluft Park in Namibia. Also written DeadVlei or Dead Vlei, its name means "dead marsh".
    • Travel to Dune 45, a star dune in the Sossusvlei area of the Namib Desert in Namibia. Its name comes from the fact that it is at the 45th kilometre of the road that connects the Sesriem gate and Sossusvlei.
    • Have lunch at a local restaurant in Sesriem Gate.
    • Check out the Sesriem Canyon. The canyon's birth dates back to 2-4 million years when continental upheaval created most of the westward flowing rivers in the Namib Desert region.
