Itinerary

1. Day 1: Windhoek - Sossusvlei

   • Today, when you arrive at the Hosea Kutako International Airport, you will meet one of our representatives. Then, you will begin your journey straight to Sossusvlei. Please make sure your flight arrives no later than 14h00.
     • If your flight arrives later than 14h00, you will unfortunately only get to travel the following day, and the night in Windhoek will be at your own cost.
     • If you are in Windhoek already, your guide will pick you up from your hotel, and you will begin your journey to Sossusvlei. Your pick up will be no later than 10h00 am.
     • You will arrive in the early afternoon, which will be a 4/5-hour drive.
   • Upon arrival, you will enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

2. Day 2: Sossusvlei

   • Today, after breakfast, you have the whole day to explore the dunes of Sossusvlei.
   • You depart at dawn from the lodge to arrive at the park gate for sunrise.
     • You will explore this unique area on foot before heading into Deadvlei with its large expanse of bleached cracked clay and skeletal camel thorn trees, contrasting with a backdrop of massive dunes with their ever-changing colours.
     • The admission ticket to the area is included.
   • If you have plenty of energy, try to climb up Big Daddy Dune, the highest in the area, for spectacular views over the Namib Desert.
   • As you drive back to your accommodation we will stop at the famous Dune 45 for photos and spend about 30 minutes.
   • You will also get to visit Sesriem Canyon, which once was a permanent water source for the local wildlife.
     • Climb the canyon and appreciate this small but exciting geological formation.
   • After all the adventure, you will drive back to your lodge and rest for the rest of the day.

3. Day 3: Sossusvlei - Windhoek

   • Today, after breakfast, you will drive back to Windhoek.
   • Your guide will then drop you off at the airport (if you have a flight departing today), hotel or guesthouse of your choice.
   • If you are departing today, please ensure no flight departing before 16h00 is booked, just in case there might be any issues on the road back.
