Itinerary

1. Day 1: Hosea Kutaku Internanation Airport - River Crossing Lodge

   Day 1.  Hosea Kutaku International Airport - River Crossing Lodge

   Your shuttle driver will welcome you at the Hosea Kutako International Airport. The drive you to your destination.  River Crossing Lodge offers a serene marriage of blissful, undisturbed nature and comfortable modern amenities. The lodge is located on a pristine 6500 hectare reserve which is home to 19 different species of game, while being only a 5 minute drive from the heart of Windhoek. After checking in , get ready for a drive through the Capital city. We will be visiting the local street markets , craft markets and the Township ( Katutura)

   Once arrive at the Lodge again get ready for a spectacular sunset from the terrace before dinner.

2. Day 2. River crossing Lodge - Swakopmund

   Departure for Swakopmund after breakfast expected to arrive in the afternoon . 

   The rest of the day will be free with plenty of time to explore the town. Swakopmund is a very pleasant seaside town with lots of shops, a good stretch of beach (although the Atlantic is quite cold here) and an open-air curio market. There is also a very good museum, and the Namibian National Marine Aquarium is located in Swakopmund. Alternatively, there are various optional activities that can be arranged.  

   These include a boat-tour (with oysters and champagne!), scenic flights and micro-light flights over the desert, fishing trips (either from the beach or in a boat), quad-bike trips into the desert and over the sand dunes around Swakopmund, sandboarding, skydiving and many other activities. Your guide will discuss all the possible optional activities with you and offer to make pre-bookings in advance. (N.B. all extra activities in Swakopmund are subject to availability and are made at the client's own risk and expense). Dinner today is not included in the cost of the safari and will be at the client's own expense.

3. Day 3. Swakopmund - Weldevrede Guest Farm

   After a leisurely breakfast, guest have time till 12 pm for some actives before departure .This could be quad biking, sand boarding, a dolphin cruise or a scenic flight along the Skeleton Coast spotting ancient shipwrecks.

   A special treat is a trip to Walvis Bay to see the world-famous flamingoes in the lagoon, which is a protected RAMSAR birding site.

   Please note: optional activities are for your own expense (not included in the tour rate)

   Leave Swakopmund at 12h00 and drive to Weldevrede Guest Farm near Sesriem. We will drive via Kuiseb Pass and Gaub Pass, stopping to stretch your legs and take photos at the Tropic of Capricorn Crossing.

   Arrive at Weldevrede Guest Farm late afternoon, settle into your accommodation and enjoy a sunset walk that showcase the sunset over the Namib Nauklift Mountains.

4. Day 4. Weldevrede Guest Farm - Solitiare Country Lodge

   This morning we have a very early start for our guided excursion to Sossusvlei. We want to leave our lodge well before sunrise to ensure we are one of the first to enter the national park. From Sesriem, we continue into the desert area where the early morning light provides excellent photography opportunities. Once we arrive at the 4x4 parking area, we can explore this area on foot, with a walk around Dead Vlei and Sossusvlei. 

   Solitaire Country Lodge, Namibia is hidden away in the small settlement of Solitaire in the middle of the Namibian desert, a lodge which consists of a petrol station, workshop, a village shop, a gift shop and the wonderful taste filled Moose Macgregor's bakery. Enjoy the rest of the remaining day relaxing at the pool and the bar.

5. Solitiare Country Lodge - Windhoek ( Klein Windhoek GuestHouse)

   After breakfast, guests are taken to Solitaire wildlife sanctuary for endangered cheetahs. They are orphaned or injured cheetahs that have been rescued but cannot be released back into their natural habitat for various reasons.

   Guests are taken on a 1-hour drive around the sanctuary in an open safari vehicle, meeting the cheetahs and learning more about this beautiful species. Photographs with certain cheetahs are allowed.

   The tour departs for Windhoek after activity. End of Tour ! Lunch / Dinner at Hotel on own account.

   Please note: Avoid booking flights out of Windhoek that depart prior or close to 17h00 for this tour
