Hello, my name is Ahmed Nayett, and I am a local guide, tour operator, and professional interpreter based in Nouakchott, Mauritania.

Before entering the tourism industry, I worked as a military and medical interpreter, supporting international security, civil affairs, and training programs.This background helped me develop strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills while working in demanding environments.I also completed medical interpretation training through the University of Minnesota and have received professional recognition for my work with international organizations.

My passion for travel and Mauritanian culture led me to create Come To Mauritania, where I help travelers discover one of Africa’s most fascinating and least-visited destinations.Over the years, I have traveled extensively throughout the country, exploring destinations such as Chinguetti, Ouadane, Terjit Oasis, Atar, the Richat Structure (Eye of the Sahara), the Iron Ore Train route, and many remote areas of the Sahara Desert.
