Itinerary

1. Day 1: Explore Yangon

   • Meet  your guide on arrival at the Yangon International Airport and travel to hotel.

   • After resting for an hour, embark on your excursion by visiting the downtown to see colonial buildings constructed during the British Empire.

   • Make your way to Botahtaung Pagoda which is situated near the river bank of Yangon.

   • Visit the Great Shwedagon Pagoda, considered one of the wonders of the world in the evening. 

   • Retire to the hotel for night.

2. Day 2: Sightseeing in Yangon and Bago

   • After enjoying a hearty breakfast, travel to Chaukhtatkyi Pagoda - The Reclining Buddha Image.

   • Explore the National Museum to know about Myanmar's national history. 

   • Make your way to Bokyo Aung San market, called Scott's Market to purchase the valued gems and other local products.

   • Have a sumptuous lunch in Yangon and leave for Bago which is about 80 km from Yangon. 

   • In Bago, visit the ancient Shwemawdaw pagoda which is over a thousand years old.

   • The next destination is Shwe Thalyaung Reclining Buddha Image which is 55m long. 

   • Visit the famous Maha Kalayani Sima Ordination Hall and Mahazsdi or Great Stupa. 

   • If time permits, visit the Hantawaddy Palace by King Bayintnaung - founder of the Second Myanmar Empire. 

   • Stay overnight in Bago.

3. Day 3: On the way to Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda

   • After indulging is a hearty breakfast, make your way to Kyaikhto township to get to Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda. On the way back, observe Paddy fields and ways of life of rural people. 

   • Travel to Kin Pun based camp to visit Kyaikhtiyo pagoda by taking a car to base camp on a 45 minutes drive approximately.

   • Explore the marvelous golden rock, "Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda". 

   • Enjoy the night view at the mountain top stay for the night.

4. Day 4: Explore Mawlamyine

   • The next morning, go back to the base camp, and proceed towards Mawlamyine. 

   • Visit Mahamuni Pagoda, a famous temple site in Myanmar.

   • Make your way to the first Baptist Church, and Zyegyi Market where local products are bought and sold. 

   • In the afternoon, go for an excursion to Bilu Island and enjoy the out-worldly experience. 

   • Return to Mawlamyine in afternoon to enjoy the sunset from Kyaikthanlan Pagoda, known as the Kipling Pagoda.

   • Stay the night in Mawlamyine. 

5. Day 5: Return to Yangon

   • After having a delicious breakfast, return to Yangon.
