Based on your preferences, we’ve crafted a suggested itinerary that includes highlights such as Ranomafana and Isalo National Parks, Ifaty Beach, Tsingy de Bemaraha, Kirindy Forest, and the Baobab Avenue.

Southwest tour itinerary
Day 1 – : Arrival at Antananarivo Ivato International Airport
- Arrive at Ivato International Airport (TNR).
- Meeting and transfer to your hotel in Antananarivo.
- Rest and recover from your flight.
- Optional: Short city tour (Place Indépendance, Ambohimanga Hill, or Tsimbazaza Zoo) if time permits.
- Overnight in Hotel les flots bleu Antananarivo.
Day 2 – : Antananarivo → Andasibe (with Périnet Reptiles stop & night walk)
- Drive: ~3 hours to Andasibe.
- Stop: Visit Périnet Reptiles Park (also called Peryeras Reptiles) to see chameleons, geckos, snakes, and tortoises.
- Afternoon check-in at Feon’ny ala hotel near Andasibe.
- Evening: Guided night walk in Andasibe National Park to spot nocturnal lemurs (mouse lemurs, sportive lemurs), chameleons, and insects.
- Overnight in Feon'ny ala hotel Andasibe.
Day 3 – : Vakona Forest Reserve + Analamazaotra National Park
- 7am Morning: Visit Vakona Forest Lodge Reserve to see multiple lemur species including ring-tailed lemurs, red-bellied lemurs, Bamboo lemurs and sifakas in a reserve. Visit 2hrs
- 10 am Morning: Enter in Analamazaotra Special Reserve (part of Andasibe-Mantadia) for the main attraction: the Indri Indri, the largest living lemur, whose call can be heard up to 3 km away.
- Other lemurs likely seen: brown lemur, gray bamboo lemur, eastern woolly lemur, diademed sifaka.
- Overnight in Andasibe at the same hotel
Day 4 – : Andasibe → Antsirabe
- Drive: ~5–6 hours to Antsirabe via the RN2 and RN7.
- Scenic drive through highlands.
- Afternoon free to explore Antsirabe:
- Visit Lake Itasy nearby
- See Rova of Antsirabe or rickshaw ride.
- Visit local factory make aluminium cooking pot
- Overnight in H1 hotel Antsirabe.
Day 5 – : Antsirabe → Ambalavao (paper & Lantry clothes)
- Drive: ~4–5 hours to Ambalavao.
- En route stops:
- Visit a local wooden handicrafted workshop in Ambositra
- Visit a local workshop for handmade mulberry paper (traditional Malagasy paper).
- See production of Landy (Lontara) clothes – traditional Malagasy textiles.
- Afternoon in Ambalavao: visit the town market and artisan workshops.
- Overnight in Betsileo country lodge.
Day 6 – August 17: Anja Reserve → Ranohira
- Morning: Visit Anja Community Reserve (2 hours) to see ring-tailed lemurs (around 400 individuals), chameleons, and Madagascar plated lizards.
- Lemurs are most active early morning.
- Drive: ~4–5 hours to Ranohira (gateway to Isalo).
- Overnight in H1 Hotel Ranohira.
Day 7 – : Isalo National Park
- Full-day exploration of Isalo National Park:
- Hike to Canyon des Makis (lemur canyon) – see ring-tailed lemurs, sifakas.
- Visit Piscine Naturelle (natural pool).
- Exploring the lemurs in Namaza trekking site
- Optional hike to Canyon des Rats or Viewpoint of the Window of Isalo.
- Picnic lunch inside the park.
- Overnight in Ranohira.
Day 8 – : Ranohira → Toliara (Tulear) → Mangily Beach
- Drive: ~6–7 hours to Toliara, short visit in saphires mining and tulear city then short transfer to Mangily Beach.
- Afternoon relaxation on Mangily Beach (white sand, turquoise water).
- Overnight at Bella dona hotel Mangily Beach.
Day 9 – : Mangily → Bevoay → Manja → Morondava
- Long drive day (~8–9 hours total):
- 7am depart from Hotel, crossing the Mangoky river in Bevoay
- Continue via Manja and lunch.
- Arrive in Morondava by late in the afternoon.
- Sunset at the Baobab Avenue (iconic photo stop) if the time permits.
- Overnight in chez Maggie hotel Morondava.
Day 10 – : Morondava → Bekopaka
- Drive: ~6–7 hours to Bekopaka via the unpaved road through the Tsingy de Bemaraha region. Crossing the 2 river on the ferry
- Scenic landscape: spiny desert, baobabs, and dry deciduous forest.
- Arrive in Bekopaka in the afternoon.
- Overnight in Tanakoay hotel Bekopaka.
Day 11 –: Big Tsingy (Tsingy de Bemaraha Strict Nature Reserve)
- Full-day exploration of Tsingy de Bemaraha (UNESCO World Heritage Site):
- Hike through the Big Tsingy labyrinth of limestone spikes.
- See endemic wildlife: red sifaka, gray bamboo lemur, bat pests, reptiles.
- Visit underground rivers and caves.
- Requires moderate hiking and guided local from the park.
- Return to Bekopaka.
- Overnight in Tanankoay hotel Bekopaka.
Day 12 – : Bekopaka → Morondava
- Drive: ~6–7 hours back to Morondava.
- crossing again the 2 river on the ferry
- Visit Baobab sacred, Baobab amoureux and stop at the the Baobab Avenue for sun set.
- Overnight in Chez Maggie hotel Morondava.
Day 13 – : Morondava → Antananarivo
- Option A (recommended): Fly Morondava → Antananarivo (~1 hour).
- Option B: Long drive (~10–11 hours) if flight not available.
- Afternoon/evening in Antananarivo:
- overnight in Les flots bleu hotel Antananarivo.
Day 14 – : Antananarivo → OUT
- Morning free time or shopping.
- Transfer ivato international airport
