Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Antananarivo

   • Arrive at Ivato International Airport in Antananarivo, with Ethiopian Airlines advised for travel.

   • Meet and receive a warm welcome at the airport upon arrival.

   • Complete all airport formalities including money exchange.

   • Transfer to your hotel in Antananarivo by comfort minibus, SUV or four wheel drive vehicle.

   • Check in at San Cristobal or a similar hotel and relax on a bed and breakfast basis in preparation for the next day.

2. Day 2: Antananarivo to Andasibe via Pereyras Reserve

   • Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before departing towards Andasibe in the eastern part of the island.

   • Travel through the scenic eastern landscapes of Madagascar by comfort minibus, SUV or four wheel drive vehicle.

   • Stop at Pereyras Reptile Reserve to observe endemic reptiles of Madagascar up close.

   • Continue to Andasibe and check in at Andasibe Cyperus Hotel or a similar property on a bed and breakfast basis.

   • Head out for a guided night walk in Andasibe to spot nocturnal lemurs, known as the smallest lemurs in the world.

3. Day 3: Andasibe National Park and Vakona Reserve

   • Set out on a morning expedition in Andasibe National Park to encounter the Indri indri, known as the world’s biggest lemur with its almost invisible tail.

   • Observe other lemur species including brown lemurs and bamboo lemurs in their natural habitat.

   • Spot additional wildlife such as chameleons, giraffe necked weevils and other rainforest species.

   • Discover the park’s remarkable biodiversity, home to 108 recorded bird species.

   • Travel by comfort minibus to visit the private Vakona Reserve in the afternoon.

   • Explore Lemur Island within Vakona Reserve, one of the best places to see lemurs very closely.

   • Return to Andasibe Cyperus Hotel or similar for an overnight stay on a bed and breakfast basis.

4. Day 4: Andasibe to Antananarivo and City Tour

   • Depart Andasibe and travel back to Antananarivo by comfort minibus.

   • Upon arrival in the capital, enjoy a guided city tour of Tanà.

   • Explore key highlights of the city including the King Palace of Ambohimanga.

   • Visit local markets to purchase souvenirs such as handicrafts, wood carvings and spices including vanilla and pepper.

   • Check in at San Cristobal or a similar hotel for an overnight stay on a bed and breakfast basis.

5. Day 5: Antananarivo to International Airport

   • Transfer from your hotel in Tanà to Tanà Airport for your international flight.
   • Conclude your tour services in Antananarivo.
