Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrive in Antananarivo

   • Arrive at Antananarivo International Airport.

   • Meet your guide and receive a warm welcome.

   • Transfer to your hotel located 30 minutes from the airport.

   • Settle in and rest after your flight.

2. Day 2: Explore Lemurs’ Park and Digue Market

   • Meet your guide at 08:00 AM.

   • Drive 25 km to Lemurs’ Park for a guided visit.

   • Discover nine species of lemurs and over 70 plant species.

   • Return to Antananarivo and visit the Digue Market.

   • Shop for Malagasy handicrafts and souvenirs.

3. Day 3: Transfer to Andasibe with Reptile Farm Visit

   • Depart Antananarivo after breakfast.

   • Drive through highland landscapes and rice fields to Andasibe (170 km).

   • Stop at the Peyreiras Reptile Farm and view endemic reptiles and butterflies.

   • Break for lunch in Moramanga.

   • Check in to your lodge.

   • Join a guided night walk to observe nocturnal wildlife.

4. Day 4: Visit Mantadia National Park and Vakona Reserve

   • Wake up early and enjoy breakfast.

   • Visit a sacred waterfall.

   • Return for lunch and proceed to Vakona Forest Reserve.

5. Day 5: Travel to Antsirabe via Ambatolampy

   • Eat breakfast and depart for Antsirabe (340 km).

   • Stop at Ambatolampy to visit the aluminum foundry.

   • Observe traditional metal crafts and handmade games.

   • Continue to Antsirabe and check in to your hotel.

   • Visit the city and view colonial architecture and markets.

   Overnight at Menabe’l or similar (B&B).

6. Day 6: Enjoy Antsirabe City Tour and Gemstone Visit

   • Begin with a morning city tour.

   • Visit workshops creating miniatures and recycled crafts.

   • Explore the main market filled with produce and handmade goods.

   • Have lunch at the hotel.

   • Visit a gemstone shop showcasing sapphires, rubies, and more.

   • Ride a pousse-pousse (rickshaw) back to your hotel.

7. Day 7: Travel to Fianarantsoa via Ambositra

   • Depart after breakfast.

   • Continue to Fianarantsoa.

   • Pass through the Horombe Plateau and view open landscapes.

   • Visit Isalo’s Natural Window for sunset photography.

10. Day 10: Hike in Isalo National Park

    • Depart after breakfast for Isalo National Park.

    • Trek through the Circuit Piscine Naturelle trail.

    • Swim in natural pools and visit canyons and caves.

    • View tombs of Bara and Sakalava tribes and dwarf baobabs.

    • Return to the lodge in the afternoon.

11. Day 11: Transfer to Toliara via Ilakaka

    • Drive to Toliara through Horombe and the sapphire mining town of Ilakaka.
