My name is Fatima Habte, and I am grateful for the opportunity to introduce myself and share my background with you.
I come from a Berber Jbala family in the enchanting city of Chefchaouen. My educational journey includes a Bachelor's degree in English with a specialization in linguistics and a Master's degree in Tourism and Human Development.Presently, I am pursuing a Master's degree focused on Moroccan Jewish heritage, as I am deeply passionate about preserving and understanding our rich cultural legacy.
Over the past 17 years, I have garnered extensive experience in the hospitality and travel industry. My dedication to making a positive impact on my community led me to collaborate with Spanish NGOs on various programs aimed at empowering women economically in my region.Additionally, I have worked diligently on initiatives promoting rural tourism in the province of Chefchaouen, providing an alternate source of income to the local population.
In my role as a researcher and speaker, I have been actively engaged with international Tour Operators for more than a decade, shedding light on the situation of women in Morocco and Chefchaouen.Furthermore, I have been an ardent advocate for community-based tourism, fostering an environment that embraces responsible and sustainable practices.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I am a proud mother of two exceptional young men.My eldest son has established himself as a full-stack engineer, while my youngest has pursued a career as an economist. As a wife, I am fortunate to have the unwavering support of my family, which has been integral to my personal and professional growth.
I take great pride in my cultural heritage and would be honored to share its richness with you.Thank you for your time, and I am looking forward to any opportunity that may arise for us to connect and collaborate
