The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Colombo and Transfer to Sigiriya

Arrive at Colombo Airport and meet your Sri Lankan guide for pick-up and transfer.
Drive to Sigiriya, and on the way, visit the Dambulla Golden Temple.

Overnight in Sigiriya.

Day 02

Sigiriya Lion Rock and Optional Evening Safari

Relish an early morning breakfast and start your day by visiting the world-famous Sigiriya Lion Rock.
Climb down from the rock and return to the hotel.
In the evening, a jeep safari can be organised for Kaudulla or Minneriya National Park. You can see a large variety of wild elephants and other animals in the national park.

Day 03

Explore the Ancient City of Polonnaruwa

Start from Sigiriya to Polonnaruwa at around 7 am after breakfast.
Visit the World Heritage Site of Polonnaruwa and let yourself get lost in the fabulous garden-city created by Parakramabahu I in the 12th century.

Day 04

Journey to Kandy via Matale

After savoring your breakfast, start towards Kandy.
On the way, visit the Sri Lankan traditional herbal garden and the Hindu Temple in Matale City.
In the evening, indulge in Kandy Traditional Dancing.

Day 05

Peradeniya Gardens and Kandy Sightseeing

In the morning, visit the Botanical Garden at Peradeniya.
Spend a leisurely day in Kandy trying out various activities such as visiting the Temple of the Tooth Relic and Kandy Viewpoint.
