Itinerary

1. Pick up from airport-Negombo- Largest fish market

   • You are picked up from the airport and then drive to Negombo.

   • See the highest fish market and relax on the beach.

   Stay overnight in Negombo.

2. Wilpattu national park –Wild life safari

   • Visit Wilpattu National Park, and safari start at 2.00 p.m. to see wild animals' natural habitats.

   Back to hotel in Wilpattu and stay overnight.

3. Wilpattu - Polonnaruwa

   • Go to Polonnaruwa, the capital of Sri Lanka for about 200 years. Finally, the kingdom was transferred to Dambadeniya and Polonnaruwa was concored by Indian king Kalinga Magha.

   • Visit the archaeological museum, royal palace, audience hall, swimming pool, sacred quadrangle, shiva devale, Pabalu Vehera, Rankot vihara, Kiri Vihara, buddha statue at lankatilaka, buddha figures at gal vihara etc.

   • Stay overnight in Polonnaruwa.

4. Polonnaruwa-Sigiriya- Village Tour- Sri Lankan cookery demonstration- Pidurangala Rock

   • Drive to Sigiriya. 

   • Take a village tour to experience ancient village life with their day-to-day activities including oxen cart rides, catamaran rides, walk towards paddy fields, cookery demonstration on traditional Sri Lankan foods and enjoy a traditional meal.

   • Dedicate a whole evening to visit the eight world wonder of Sigiriya royal palace.

   • Witness the marvellous landscapes, irrigation technology and aesthetic abilities of ancient Sinhalese culture.

   Stay overnight.

5. - lion rock- Dambulla cave temple - Kandy

   • You are picked up at7.00 a.m. from your residence in Sigiriya and drives straight away to the lion rock.

   • Visit the eight wonder of the world, which contains huge walls, water canals, security guard rooms, natural stoned arches, mirror stone and world-famous Sigiri paintings. It is an isolated rock, Kingdom more than 200m in height. 

   • Your second destination is the Dambulla cave temple, the largest and the best-preserved cave temple in Sri Lanka. The caves were converted into a temple complex by king Walagamba during the 1st century. There are about 153 Buddha statues and murals, which covers 2100 square meters. 

   • Drive to Kandy and enjoy Kandyan dancing event in the evening.

   • Visit the temple of the tooth relic. The most sacred molar tooth of the lord buddha is placed in seven golden caskets, under a golden ceiling.

   Spend the night in Kandy.

6. Peradeniya botanical garden-Pinnawala elephant orphanage - Kandy

   • Drive to Pinnawala elephant orphanage to see milk feeding & elephant bathing.

   • When coming back to Kandy, visit a royal botanical garden covered by colourful flower plants, herbal plants, endemic and epidemic plant species and palm family trees. More than 4000 varieties can be seen here. The world’s giant bamboo tree species are found only here. There are more than 100 various species of ferns, and the largest variety of orchid flower plants and lotus and water lilies are grown in artificial ponds in the garden.

   • Head to the viewpoint of Kandy.

   Spend the night in Kandy.

7. Kandy - Hiking- Adams peak

   • Drive to Adams Peak. Another world heritage and multi-religious place in Sri Lanka. It is an isolated mountain peak of 7359 feet above the sea level. Adams peak is another most sacred, higher value and the most attractive place among local and foreign tourists. The season begins from the full moon poya day. It isn't easy to climb the rock during the weekend because it is too crowded with local pilgrims.

   • You can start the journey in the evening or at midnight to avoid the heat of the sun. Make sure to pack warm clothes and equipment according to your needs.

   Stay overnight at the top of the mountain.

8. Adams peak - Nuwara Eliya

   • Come back to the hotel.

   • Drive to Ella and stay overnight.

9. Scenic train journey –Ella-nine arch bridge

   • The journey begins from Nuwara Eliya (Nanuoya) Railway station in the morning. Take the iconic scenic train journey in Sri Lanka and go along greeny hills of tea plantation, lovely old tunnels, waterfalls, stunning landscapes and enjoy traditional village life while travelling.

   • Drive to the hotel in Ella.

   • In the evening, see the nine arch bridge.

   Stay overnight in Ella.

10. Waterfalls- Hummanaya blow hole- turtle hatchery- still fishing - mirissa

    • Drive to Mirissa.

    • On your way, you can see Hummanaya blowhole and turtle hatchery. Hummanaya blow hole which pumps seawater up to 40 feet from a natural hole between two closest rocks and splints water into the sky.

    Stay the night in Mirissa.

11. Dolphins and whales watching- Mirissa baech- Galle Fort - hikkaduwa

    • Dolphins and whales watching tour begins at 6.00 a.m.

    • Drive to world heritage “Galle Fort” built by Portuguese and was reconstructed during the Dutch period.

    You can stay the night at Hikkaduwa.

12. Scuba diving and snorkeling- Hikkaduwa beach-Beach activities- Madhu river boat safari-natural fish therapy-Bentota beach

    • See the coral reefs and enjoy scuba diving and snorkelling under the safety supervision of well-experienced professionals. Hikkaduwa coastal area is most suitable for surfing during November to April months.

    • In the evening, enjoy Madhu riverboat safari and get natural fish therapy for self-relaxing.

    Stay the night at Bentota.

13. Bentota beach- drop in airport

    There are no itinerary plans; be dropped back to the airport according to your flight departure time.
