The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival and Relaxation in Negombo

  • On arrival, connect with your tour representative. Stay your first night in Negombo, a beautiful city near Sri Lanka's western coast.
  • Relax at the beautiful beach or Negombo Lagoon, and see the beautiful St. Mary's Church and fish markets.

Day 02

Journey to the Ancient City of Anuradhapura

  • Visit Anuradhapura, an important ancient city in Sri Lanka's North Central region. See Buddhist temples, the ancient kingdom, city ruins, and many other important architectural and cultural sites.

Overnight at Anuradhapura.

Day 03

Polonnaruwa Ruins and Sigiriya Rock

  • Travel to Polonnaruwa, the second ancient city of Sri Lanka. You will see city ruins and historic temples of the old kingdom.

  • Proceed to Sigiriya in the evening. You will climb the famous Sigiriya Rock and visit nearby attractions in Sigiriya.

Day 04

Dambulla Cave Temple and Transfer to Kandy

  • In the morning, you will visit the Dambulla Cave Temple.

  • Proceed to Kandy. Here, see various cultural attractions, take part in activities, and relax on your first day in Kandy.

Day 05

Temple, Lake, and Gardens of Kandy

  • Offer your prayers at the famous Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, enjoy a short Kandy city tour, take in the views from the viewpoint, and visit Kandy Lake and the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya.

Stay your second night in Kandy.

Day 06

Scenic Tea Train to Nuwara Eliya

  • From Kandy, travel to Nuwara Eliya by tea train and enjoy the beautiful Sri Lankan landscapes, nature, tea gardens, waterfalls, and mountains. See Gregory Lake and the pink post office.

Overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya.

Horton Plains and Train Ride to Ella

  • Early in the morning, go to the beautiful Horton Plains National Park and Ambewela New Zealand Farm.

  • Then board a tea train towards Ella and stay in Ella that night.

Ella Highlights and Sunset at Tissa Lake

  • See the beautiful Nine Arch Bridge, Ravana Falls, and Little Adam's Peak.

  • Proceed to Tissa, where you will watch a beautiful sunset near Tissa Lake.

Yala Safari and Transfer to Mirissa

  • Early in the morning, explore Yala National Park.

  • Later, proceed to Mirissa and enjoy the beautiful, serene Mirissa Beach.

Whale Watching and Galle Dutch Fort

  • Early in the morning, go for a whale-watching experience.

  • Proceed to Galle and see Galle Dutch Fort.

Overnight stay at Galle.

Bentota Lagoon, Turtles, and Beach Time

  • Travel from Galle to Bentota.

  • Meet the beautiful lagoon and turtles, and relax at Bentota Beach.

Colombo City Tour and Departure

  • Begin with a Colombo city tour.

  • Transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
